“UCB of West KY has been my primary bank since 2001, when my family moved from Virginia Beach back 'home' to rural Union County. After 25 years of dealing with a mind-boggling series of bank mergers, beginning with the Bank of Virginia Beach, followed by Virginia National Bank, then Sovran Bank, yet another merger with Nations Bank, and finally to Bank of America. Along with each merger came a brand-new management team at my local branch, with no friendly faces. I likened the experience to being lost in a corporate game of 'fruit basket upset'.
UCB is a breath of fresh air in West Kentucky, providing me with consistency in management where personal relationships are nurtured and valued, and a real sense of community continues to exist, despite my now living in Central Indiana. I've worked with three bank officers, including Garland Certain, Gwen Paris, and most recently, Sandra Brock. I have never had a less-than-stellar experience with any UCB employee in 25 years as a customer!”
