Purchased a full set of new tires in April and had them installed. They charged me $3 each for the valve stems. Fine. Valve stem failed in August. I called in and said I'm sure it's covered under something. They asked for the last name, I gave it to them, they said OK bring it him. My mother in law took the car in and they replaced it and charged her $32. I called and objected and they said well, too bad, there is a warranty on the $400 tires but they billed the valve stem separately. (Actually, they played a lot of games along the way, saying "Well we don't know where you got the valve stem," until I gave them the receipt, and then "Well you didn't purchase separate insurance on the valve stem," and then having me send them the receipt three times only to tell me "Well there's no insurance on here," which I told them, no, I didn't purchase separate insurance for the valve stems from the beginning). It was super schiestery over a $3 valve stem. They defended that the place is under new ownership, but the business is the same, it says Tri-State Tire no less than 4 times on the building, and they didn't tell me they weren't going to charge 10x the original price to change out the valve stem when I indicated on the phone I was expecting it to be free. I would never go here again. For repairs, Holiday Tire at the top of Cumberland Gap is awesome, I would have gone there if I'd realized these guys were so disreputable.
