This was the biggest disappointment we have had in our time in Middlesboro. The owner is still using the Sears name and cash register tape even though the store is no longer associated with Sears. We wanted to shop local, but as we found out later, we had been misled. We were assured our order was on a truck and would be delivered by Friday. Friday came, and there was no delivery. We called, and we're told that our Stove was not yet in the store that the only one they had in the store belonged to someone else. We asked the owner to double-check and then found out that the stove that was in the store was actually our stove. We insisted that the stove be delivered on that same friday as promised. The owner said he would deliver the stove himself that evening after he closed the store. The owner did deliver the stove and install it. He did not, however, remove the packaging. The large box that the stove came in and left it on our Porch. Please be very careful if you do business with this person. Verify and check every detail.

Mixed feelings about this business. Ordered an appliance with the promise that it would be placed on an earlier truck to meet our timeline. When I followed up with the owner, he initially said that an appliance had arrived but it was for another customer, and that mine would arrive later than expected.. no apology, just a matter of fact. When I press the matter about his promise at the time of ordering, he put me on an extended hold, and return to say that the appliance he thought was for another customer, was in fact the oven I ordered. He began to explain that he would not be able to get it delivered that day as promised because his delivery person was out conducting other business. I again press the issue of his promise, and he reluctantly said he would deliver it after he closed up the store that evening, which he did. I did learn however that the large box at the stove had been treated in was left behind, instead of loaded on the truck as would be typical in a delivery process. If you've read my words, you understand why my feelings are mixed about this business. Should you choose to do business with this company, start with a clear message of accountability so you don't go through the same difficulties that I did.

Couldn’t have asked for better service today from Jim. I went to him with an issue that was not his or the stores fault at all, but it was the fault of the warranty company and the repair company. Jim fixed the issue with no problem.

Friendly professional service. Went over and above to take care of me. I went for a warranty coverage on an item, and ended up purchasing a vacuum cleaner while in the store. I observed polite, personal interaction with every person who came into the store while I was there. Jim “multi tasked” as he efficiently took care of everyone. This type of customer service is so often not applied in today’s society. It’s a hour and a half round trip drive, but I will check with that store first for any future purchases as long as Jim is there.

I'm almost 60 and have been buying Craftsman brand all my life because of the lifetime warranty. The brand costs more but was worth it for that reason. Recently my husband was treated like s#!t for assuming that they would replace the belt on a $1,300 riding mower. He was told they only keep receipts for 6 months, like everything is not on a computer now. While there an elderly lady came in with a piece of plastic that came off the bottom of a deep freezer she had just purchased. She was upset because Sears had sent her the wrong part 3 different times and she wanted her part or they could come and get the freezer and refund her money. I know they're under new management but it's still Sears and they should still honor the lifetime warranties on Craftsman products. We went to Tractor Supply and I will never buy anything else from Sears again. There are too many places to buy what you need and everyday another store opens up.Sayonara Sears.

Other stores said late July to mid August, Jim said we’ll have it to you Thursday! Yes, ordered our “hard to find” refrigerator on Monday and it was delivered today. Thank you Jim for all your help! We will be back!

Broken promises they could not deliver. Ordered 3 kitchen appliances which took about a month to get. Not bad! But, when installing the microwave, the installer botched it up and we had to order a new one. Well, after 3 weeks of waiting, we called the store and Jim said it would be another 2 weeks. The man after 2 weeks he said he couldn't order it anymore because there was a freeze on Fridgedaire. Well, that was a problem because the microwave was a GE brand. So, we figured the store just didn't have the money to spend in correcting their mistakes, so we asked if the old (new) microwave could be installed or if it was actually so damaged from the original install. The installer said he would come by the house and see if he could. Well he never came by, but Jim called and said the installer said he could do it. So, a few days later, the installer brought the microwave and yes, he could install it correctly but when he plugged it in the microwave was dead! Would not work at all. So needless to say, my husband had him take it back down and asked him to leave. Well he was starting to take the bAck off the microwave to see if he could fix it and then said, "Well we can order you a new one?" My husband never cusses but proceeded to tell that guy to get the hell out of our house and get us a refund. The next day, a person at the store called and said the refund was in the register, which we picked up the next day. Now we have to go pay more to get one that matches, but we don't care! We will never shop this store again!

Love this store. I got a very "high tech" washer and dryer without paying a high end price. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help.
