Made a special trip here with my two boys to get a ham for Thanksgiving dinner. Always heard good things about Hutchinson's. Hey, if it's good enough for Marty Brennaman to brag about, it's good enough for me.Our trip was made even more special by the owner which opened up and talked about all the history of Hutchinson's, stories from his childhood and of the building itself. He even took my boys in the back where he actually made the ham and an explanation of all the various equipment he used. My boys still talk about it today.After purchasing our ham, I jokingly told the owner that I didn't think the ham would survive the trip back home without me and my boys eating it all. Without hesitating, he went behind the counter and made us some ham sandwiches for our 1 1/2 hour trip back home. Needless to say, they were awesome.I hope I have started a long time family tradition. Maysville is so fortunate to have Hutchinsons.
