Have stayed there for almost 7 years in a row now, but am having extreme trouble contacing the lodge to set up my group's return. We typically bring 20+ people and additionally eat in the restaraunt for breakfast as well. However, no one is answering the phone or returning phone calls. Wondering if anyone has had this problem recently as it has never been a problem before.

I did not stay at the lodge cabins (because I'm in the campground ?) They are divided into two sections. The smaller cabins are in front of the lodge across the small parking area and the larger cabins in a park area have their own neighborhood on the other side of the larger visitor center parking lot.
The lobby has a choice of one restaurant?️ and two snack bars.???
And of course, gift shops ?️
The original entrance to the cave is down a pathway between the lobby and the visitor center.
Nearby activities: The cave!!!?
Walkability: Oh yeah ??
Hiking
Noteworthy details: It's Mammoth !!

My husband and I stayed in one of the historic cottages at mammoth cave and we absolutely loved it and would recommend you stay here for your visit to Mammoth Cave national park. The location was so convenient. The rooms themselves were a bit outdated but we didn’t spend a ton of time in the room so it wasn’t a big deal. The shower head was low, i am 5’7” and it was below my head. The room did include shower gel, shampoo and conditioner as well as hand soap and linens of course.
There isn’t service in the cottage area but there is wifi at the lodge. The lodge was a great place to hangout in the evening after the sun went down.
It was great the unplug and settle into a cozy weekend!
I loved that we were so close to some of the trails

The cottages need some work, many of them are falling apart and have had the "landlord special" where everything is painted over with thick white paint. There were a lot of bugs and grime in the rooms. The bathroom though, did look very good.

Really cute historic cottages. Room was clean and stocked - no housekeeping service during the stay but that worked fine for us for a short 3 day stay. Location for the park tours was really great. Nice and quiet, great view of stars at night.
Nearby activities: Not too much dining nearby, about a 10-15 minute drive for dining options not directly at the lodge.
Walkability: Great location right by the visitor center and lodge dining options.

It was nice to stay on the property. Rooms were old, but clean. TV and wi-fi. Staff was very nice. Doing the tours was easy since we were next to the meeting point. The only downside is that you are not close to shopping or restaurants. There
Is a cafe and restaurant on property, starbucks
and gift shops also. We saw deer in the parking lot at night. Walking trails everywhere. There are small cabins you can stay at also but no TV or wi-fi. We will be back.

The rooms are dated and a bit run-down. The location is fantastic.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The door barely closed. The walls and ceilings were covered in bugs and spiders. EVERY corner of the room had cobwebs. The floor was dirty. Dirt, leaves, and even a candy wrapper. There was someone's socks in a drawer. I don't think they really clean these rooms at all. It cost us more than we have paid to stay at WAY nicer spots. They didn't offer any refund or anything when we told them how bad the room was. They acted like they weren't surprised. I'd rather sleep in a tent than stay there again.

I stayed in the Woodland Cottages, so your experience might be different. The rooms were dusty and obviously not cleaned well. There was dirt and debris on the floor when I first entered. Under the beds was so dusty it looked like nobody swept under there for over a year. The caulking in the shower was brown and gross. And there was dust and cobwebs all over the walls that had obviously been there a long time. Not even in the rafters, but at eye level and below.

Very relaxing and peaceful. Saw lots of deers ?. They were right in front of our room and me and my sister were outside sitting in the chairs late at night. The house cleaning ladies are the best ?.

We came out of a cave tour and ended up eating at their food stand. We ordered the veggie burger and it was very good. The service was fast and on point.
