I love this trail personally. It is nice and a good workout. Many said they liked it second to RRG. In this case I would say you should try the Knobstone Trail in southern indiana.

Great trail, easy to find, hard to get lost, well maintained, and with handy parking.

The best ridge hiking and great place for some elevation gain in the area. Usually not too crowded, save a few UPS fly-bys.
