Horrible pharmacy - no one ever answers the phone. I used to really like this Walgreens and not sure how it’s gotten so bad.

The last straw. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 25 years. I just moved all my prescriptions to CVS. I have an expensive Rx that's tricky to fill and process through insurance. I've tried to pick it up twice this week but only one person knows how to ring it up so it won't cost me $1,200. I went Tuesday to pick it up and tried to explain the coupon to Sarah. She didn't listen and kept trying my insurance and GoodRx (not a GoodRx coupon) and then told me I'd have to come back in the morning because she had already gone above and beyond trying to get it to work. She and the pharmacist told me that someone would be in Wednesday that could ring it up correctly. So I went back Wednesday. Once again, no one could ring it up correctly. The cashier (who kept sucking on her fingers, didn't get her name) told the pharmacist (different one from Tuesday) that she couldn't find the prescription anywhere. So the pharmacist told me they didn't even have it in stock. I told them it was in the fridge. Cashier told pharmacist that she doesn't know how to get stuff out of the fridge (you can't make this up). Pharmacist gets it out of the fridge and tosses it on the counter next to his computer. He tries for 30-40 minutes to figure it out. Told me that the last time I was there I paid 1200 cash for it. No, I didn't and you'd think I would remember something like that. Finally he told me I'd have to come back in the morning. I asked if he was sure someone would be there who could figure it out. He didn’t answer, just told me to come back. I could tell he was dismissing me, so I turned and walked out. Drove straight to CVS and asked them to pull all my prescriptions from Walgreens. ALL. Sadly, this is not the first encounter I've had like this, with these same people, but it is my last. I'm done.
The folks at CVS at 2222 Bardstown Rd are great! 5 stars! Great attitude, super helpful, responsive, better hours. Would highly recommend.

I received a text message saying my medication is ready. I arrive and it is not. I’m told it’s because it is Saturday. They have no respect for time. So disappointing. I work long hours during the week and it is difficult for me to come during the week. I guess I will have to figure it out because they don’t seem to care.

I realize the pharmacy staff does not like to answer the telephone. I tried the other options with no results. The automated system did not request a renewal yet it told me it had. The pharmacist was rude, snippy and short with me.
This is no way to treat a customer.

If I could give a zero I would.
The pharmacy staff were AMAZING! The cashier at the front, young Caucasian girl was amazing. It was the black girl who works there that was the rudest person I’ve ever met in customer service. I’m just leaving the store at noon today and I’m so peed at her attitude that I’m calling corporate tomorrow. If you don’t have the attitude for customer service do something else.

I was in there this morning. I did not use their pharmacy so I cant do a review on that area. The store was nice and clean, and staff very friendly. I am not usually in that area of town, but if I am and need something I wont hesitate to go back in there.

The pharmacy is a mess you basically have to do there job for them ! Better make sure you call and check on you’re prescription first before you get there and it isn’t ready . Hope they get it together they used to be the best .

I made the visit to Walgreens today for my booster shot. Before stepping in I was wowed at the parking lot this spot has ... in the Highlands! Prime real estate for its customers and staff. Closely monitored as well. The pharmacy team was amazing. I was checked in right away alongside another customer. Upon signing a form I was taken back to another room for my shot. I was thankful to learn that if I lose my card that I can likely get another from Walgreens since all my vaccines have been there. I took a small spin around the store, which was very clean and organized. My favorite area will forever be the make up aisles - a small joy that trickles over from childhood and shopping at Walgreens with my mom. Another highlight is the card aisle and if you need a quick gift they also keep gift cards stocked. It's a great spot to print off pictures as well. Thank you Walgreens for helping me to stay healthy!
