The Thorntons on south 3rd street had the most delightful young ladies working this morning at 530. It’s was busy and they were having to deal with unruly homeless. But the store was clean, well stocked and they were cheery and doing an excellent job.
I know most business only get bad reviews. They were doing a great job. It stood out enough that I wanted to pass it along:)

This is my neighborhood thorntons never have any complaints until they hired this one employee I watch her not card other people but when I get up to her and her line she cards me I don't have a issue with being carded but when I sit and watch her not card people that look 30 years younger than me I do have an issue I will be calling management I spend a lot of money in that store a business can lose a lot of business a lot of business by their employees who have nasty attitudes as far as everyone else who works there they are all great except for her I don't know her name but I will find it out I could describe her but I will discuss this with higher management

I'm shocked about Barry McKinney's review and wonder if the croissant displayed was actually from Thorntons given that Thorntons kitchens use high temperature ovens to cook their sandwiches and burritos and throw away these foods as expired just one and a half hours after taking the foods out of the ovens. I know this because I have always shopped there. They will not even agree to sell you a burrito or a sandwich even if it is within five minutes of the company's determined expiration time, how much more the croissant displayed? These guys throw away food that is 100% fine and perfect which they deem expired because the food is out of their determined time they put on it.

The 2nd shift of this location has completely gone down the toilet since the last time I was there and the staff was completely different from last time. The fountain drink nozzles probably haven't been cleaned in months and you can tell because the flavoring additives slowly drip around the nozzle instead of flow out. The roller grill items looked like they've been on the grill for a week and the nacho cheese and chili was empty so you can forget about nachos. It's outrageous that Thornton's charges us these prices for food that isn't even remotely fresh and I'm not feeding anyone old food. Should of went to Circle K.
