Very close to neighborhoods but at a busy intersection. Could easily drive/walk over to get a snack or something

Well, this is a bit of a tough one for me, because usually I am such a stickler for Speedways and typically make an attempt to shop at those establishments (though really with Speedway, it is all about their rewards program! There is not one place with as good of a rewards program as the Speedy Rewards one)! That being said, I have to admit I am a big fan of this Thornton's. It is in a great location (who doesn't have to be on Bardstown Rd at least every once in a while?) and is always super clean. I do mean always by that too, because I have been here at very different times of the day and night, from a little after noon to a little after midnight. Always well-stocked and clean. It's kind of hard to judge the service as a whole, because I have found extreme differences in service depending on whose working. About half of my visits, it has been where it feels like you are completely being ignored (along with any other customers there). At these times (or at least the first few times it happened), all of us customers would all give each other kind of confused glances, like, okay, whose going to make sure they know there are people waiting, because they are not going to act until we do? Usually, I would end up mentioning something aloud first, but I'm never rude about it. I wouldn't mind so much if they didn't let the lines get long while they go on about their personal lives on end before responding to customers. Though, once we are acknowledged, I do have to admit the cashiers that don't seem to notice us at first are actually quite kind and attentive. Now, the other half of the times I have gone, service was spot-on, speedy, and spectacular. I have no idea what the difference is, maybe it's different shifts or something; I'll pay better attention next time. Overall, (despite not having the rewards system I am personally fond of, ha), this is a great convience store. Cleanliness, stocked better than any other gas station close to here, and great hours make a difference though, so the place easily gets a 4.

Despite being like 20 minutes from our destination we needed to make a pit stop here. This place was clean and appeared new.

Workers never wears masks. Been there many times witnessing workers attending to food without masks. Yesterday US had over 55,000 confirmed cases; Thornton's advertises it's a safe place. 2 stars because it's clean place. 0 stars for following health standards.

Quick and easy to get in and out for gas and several pumps to go to. I think there are 20 pumps. Just wish they would power wash around the gas pumps ..... This place has everything inside you may need for the road and check out is usually a breeze.

The michelin star restaurant of gas stations. First of all they always always stock trumoo chocolate milk and that right there is a god send. They usually have great breakfast and it's always to go. I can always count on Thorntons to be a great quick stop for gas and food and chocolate milk. Their staff is always friendly especially at this particular one and over the cleanliness is great! Keep up the great work, thank you guys!

Nice clean gas station that has good prices and food. The location is in a tough part to try and get in and out on Bardstown road. Besides that there is no issue or problem. I like going to Thortons they always maintain service.

Love this location for getting gas, food, or anytime I need to make an emergency pit stop. Nice location. Nice building. Even the outside of this business is nice. Plenty of pumps and lots of parking.

Newer Thorntons location just off of the Waterson Expressway-very conveniently located. Large parking lot which helps because this is a very busy intersection on Bardstown Road. The staff I have spoken with are very nice and helpful. The grounds, store and bathrooms have been very clean each time I have stopped in. When I stop in a Thorntons location, I MUST get coffee. I have found that most Thorntons locations keep their coffee fresh. This location is no exception. I like my coffee strong, with the consistency of crude oil. Their bold roast meets my expectations!

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. I'd give 5 stars for the convenience and location, which is on Bardstown Rd, about a block south of the Watterson; 4 stars for price and cleanliness and 1 star for the mostly non-working air compressor. Everytime I stop by here, something associated with the tire pressure machine, does not work. This is highly frustrating because this Thornton's location is relatively new. Because Its been here maybe 2 years, I expect things to be in working order. I guess I expect too much. In the future, I'll probably just avoid this location. While the location is convenient, the traffic surrounding the location is horrendous and the air compressor has not worked the last 3 times that I visited.

Recently renovated, close to the expressway. Convenient to my besties' house. So I actually have occasion to stop in once in a while. Thorntons is always a good, decent place to stop for gas and convenience store needs. And since these are nice and shiny and new, it is way better then it used to be! I particularly like the variety of frozen slushy type drinks to satisfy my sweet tooth. And they have quite the variety of road-trip-worthy snacks. You could do worse, when it comes to this kind of thing. It is pretty on par with the other decent ones around town.
