We stayed for one night about a week ago. It was such an amazing experience. Loved the service and the room. The bathroom was pretty spacious. It’s a very convenient location. We would absolutely stay here again.
Walkability: Walking distance to a lot of distilleries

I would not call this a “small luxury hotel”. After a 4 day stay here, we were not impressed and were really disappointed with our decision to stay here. Terribly uncomfortable beds, we didn’t sleep hardly all week. Bar closes at 10pm. Very slim options in the “pantry” to use hilton daily credits on. Had to have the room re-cleaned upon check in due to excessive hair balls, hair in the shower, and dirt on the bathroom floors. Stains all over robes. Very limited amount of towels given.
We did like the decor, and the daily cleaning. Check in was smooth and the woman that helped us downstairs with a recleaning was very nice.

Shaymaa was the star of our stay. Being owners of a boutique motel that lives by great customer service, we have an immense appreciation for people like Shaymaa! The hotel itself is well put together, the 50 room size category made our stay seem more personalized than a large chain hotel. Highly recommend!

This is my 3rd visit to Louisville and The Grady has become my favorite boutique hotel. The hotel is located right on Main Street walkable to bars and restaurants. The lobby is beautifully decorated and there’s artwork throughout this historic building that was built in 1883, which was commissioned by pharmacist J.B. Wilder as a medicinal bourbon apothecary. Our king room was small, but had plenty of drawers and a small closet for clothes. There is a room safe and small refrigerator in the closet. The bathroom is a nice size with a huge shower. The bed was very comfortable. I also liked the great steamer provided.
The staff at The Grady went out of their way, very kind and friendly. Shoutout to Linda in the evenings. We loved seeing her and chatting each day. She’d make sure we had water bottles as did other front desk staff.
The negatives … no coffee maker in the room. It was a pain to have to get dressed and go to the lobby or restaurant for our complimentary first cup of the day. Messy hair, no makeup - ugh. BIG fail.
Also, our room facing Main Street was very loud because of racing cars zooming by and loud people. The noise gave us interrupted sleep. Ask for a room away from the street.
I highly recommend the Grady. It’s in a perfect location, beautifully decorated and extremely well kept rooms with a comfortable bed. We absolutely loved this hotel.

We had to move rooms after finding our initial room not to be clean with multiple pieces of hair in the shower and blood on the sheets of the bed. The sheets appeared to have not been changed, night hotel staff even agreed. The second room we were moved to had yet again hair in the shower. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. If it weren’t so late in downtown Louisville, we would have went to another hotel. When paying $300 plus per night, you shouldn’t have to worry about such.

Really lovely high quality hotel. Excellent rooms and beds. They provide both a cotton and silk robe, c.o. Bigelow soaps and a room with large windows and high ceilings.

Booked & paid for the hotel four days prior to arrival. Due to excellent price offered . Three hours prior to my arrival the hotel increased stay price by x 20 . An organisation that's very happy to make their mistake in to your problem . No response from e mail asking for explanation .

I have never written a bad review on google, but felt I must in this instance. I have never experienced such lack of concern/respect in the hospitality industry. We booked this hotel two and a half months in advance for a 40th birthday trip for my husband with friends. Less than 48 hours before check-in, we were informed by email that The Grady could not accommodate our booking. No apologies. No call to explain the situation. Of course booking another hotel last minute was a lot more expensive. Extremely disappointing and never will I book this hotel again.

Room was nice but a little stark. Could use a rug or carpeting and a comfy chair.

One of my top 5 picks for most beautiful hotels. Located on Bourbon Block in Louisville Kentucky, have valet parking, take care of your car, go and be amazed by your stunning rooms and head out to all kinds of adventures that are all walking distance. One of my faves, The Swan Speak Easy downstairs. Terrific stay!
