Cannot say enough good things about our experience with the Dog Wizard and our trainer, Destiny! From the moment that we reached out they were informative, patient, and answered all of our questions. Destiny worked with and taught us how we can be consistent and help our puppy be the best girl. We still have work to do but feel more confident with the tools Destiny gave us. Looking forward to working with them again in the future!

We just finished training with Janay and had a wonderful experience! While we still have to work on our homework so the training sticks, we have seen a huge improvement in our dog already.... Yesterday at the park was a breeze and not a stressful experience as in previous visits!

Destiny was a DREAM to work with and really helped us manage Murray's excited, but somewhat mischievous, nature. He is such a better behaved dog, thanks to all she did to build our confidence around correcting his not-so-great behaviors. We cannot recommend The Dog Wizard Louisville MORE and I will sing their praises until the end of time. We waited a while to pull the plug, and I cannot emphasize how much we wish we had done it sooner. Absolutely worth the investment and time, and their customer service is impeccable. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place and these people!

Destiny from Louisville Dog Wizard is INCREDIBLE. We could not speak more highly of her and all the work she did for us. Our puppy, Bear, was exhibiting some really challenging behavior and there was a moment where we considered giving up and finding him a more capable home, but Destiny saved our relationship with our dog and in some way, saved an integral part of our family. We could not be more thankful for her. We love her so much.

Everyone at The Dog Wizard was was very nice and patient with my little girl Brandy that was born with hearing loss. They did an excellent job in hand signals. I would highly recommend the Dog Wizard for your training needs of your pet.

Teddy, male cavachon, was always a good boy from the moment he was born in March 2023. The dog wizard training he completed, though, made it more possible for him to travel with me and for people to visit us at home without Teddy making a fool of himself. With me understanding how to better communicate with Teddy and to support his social needs, we strengthened our bond and trust in each other. We now go on walks in the neighborhood every day. It is safer now that he minds me and understands why I don’t like to stop and sniff every landmark. He goes to pet friendly stores with me when it just doesn’t seem fair to put him back in his crate, and he can complete the whole journey with wearing out my arm tugging about to sniff and greet everyone and everything. So friendly.I am very grateful to our trainer, Destiny, who worked hard to meet Teddy and I where we were, and to show us how to achieve what we wanted. Most of the sessions were at the very well organized Dog Wizard facility on Button Lane. With big spaces and small classroom settings. The last two sessions were to practice and enhance socialization skills at a local park and store. All the sessions were one on one, which is great because Teddy is only 10-11 pounds.Dog Wizard gave us the training equipment we needed to train Teddy, even when the first iteration of a slip lead turned out not to be the best for Teddy, but a gentle plastic pressure collar was (not sure what to call that one). They offered a lifetime (of the dog) guarantee on the training, boarding services and additional off the leash trainings for when we needed them. I felt their services were worth every penny.

Wow what a great experience with The Dog Wizard! Not only did the do great things with him, they were great to him! When I picked him up, the trainer did an excellent job of sharing all the details with me and what to do next for him. My Gus, loved them! I highly recommend! Worth every penny for this training!

We are so happy we took Oliver to the Dog Wizard! He has come home and we are able to be a happier family because of it. Not only did Oliver need training, but us humans did too and they have been so great in the follow up aspect! Ollie is a spicy puppy, super stubborn and always looking for a way to push the boundaries a bit. They recognized this right away and we never feel like bad parents when we have slip ups. They were excellent at giving us updates while he was there, and seeing what we needed once we were back home. Ollie’s not 10/10 yet but we’re all working on it and getting better every day, using the tools they taught us! We know we’re not 10/10 either so we’re all ready to put in our part, we just needed direction! The facility is large and clean and the people are very pleasant.

Our pup Moose completed his day training with The Dog Wizard this afternoon and we cannot recommend them highly enough! Janay was amazing, as are the rest of the staff and owners. They went above and beyond to make sure both Moose and ourselves were confident and comfortable with his new skills. We’re super excited to continue his education and join their graduate class for weekend fun :)

sure I recommend them and their partners for dog boarding if you want your dog returned full of worms and parasites.

If we could give 10 stars we would! We recently enrolled our newly adopted dog in the board and train program, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Our dog was a loving pup, but had trouble controlling herself when getting excited. Renee and her team worked on teaching our dog how to calm herself and learn manners. It was difficult for us to leave our pup for 2 weeks at the board and train, but Renee and her team's communication made it much easier on us. We received updates every other day on her progress along with videos. This made it easier on us as we missed our dog so much. When we came to pick her up we knew we had made the right choice. We were amazed with the amount of progress she made in just two weeks. It has made our life at home easier because our dog now knows who to go her place and calm herself while we do things around the house. We are nothing short of amazed at everything she had learned. We are confident taking her for walks and to public places, and we couldn't have said that before Renee and her team worked with her.If you are thinking about using The Dog Wizard for training my short answer would be DO IT!

Just be careful because Bleu is no longer with us! Our dog was tested for worms and parasites before, was a clean healthy dog. Came back with worms and now has had to be put to sleep. Here is my wife's responseLora Theiss3 hours agoNEWIn response to T. Theiss and response from The Dog Wizard:It took me several days to be able to write this. Our hearts are broken at the loss of our big boy.As far as your response, how dare you. I highly suggest some sensitivity training. You could have given condolences and been done. There was no need at all for any of your response after the condolence.First and foremost - Bleu was healthy other than some feeding issues. There were no worms or parasites. As per your protocol he was tested at our vet before he came in and he was all clear. If you knew anything about Danes - you would know that they have sensitive stomachs and some Danes are skinner because of their blood lines and who are you to question a licensed veterinarian? End of discussion on his size.As far as looking our records? Are you really serious? You know the name. It is right outside of the building. You see the last name everyday as you drive in and out. Please stop calling me. We want to grieve our boy in peace.1

Waste of money. Absolutely would not recommend. Our dog seemed to associate being in their space with behaving and getting rewards but does not follow the exact same methods away from the building. They did not address the main issue that we brought up which is submissive peeing and as I was leaving, the trainer said that I have an energy that I simply "hate everything" instead of trying to figure out what actually contributed to the issue. These are not professionals. These are children that don't take their job seriously and take no pride in their work. Don't waste your money.Edit: The reviews of the other people in the class is irrelevant. This class did not address the issue I needed it. Still a waste of money.
