Was planning on staying here for a full week (the room was a non smoking room but smelled heavily of cigarettes), but the first night I returned after going out and a water line had busted and leaked out onto my laptop, speaker, headphones and mouse causing over $1200 in damages. We were changed to a different room, but I had to return home due to the computer issue to work and now the owner will not reply to my email nor call me back after I have called 3 times to resolve this issue. On top of that, the back door glass is completely busted and has been this way for some time per the front desk. Traffic is HORRIBLE on Preston during our time here making getting into the hotel a sometimes 20 minute process just go 1/4 mile. Both rooms we were in had water stains on the ceiling implying more water damage had occurred in the past. If you value your possessions, I advise staying elsewhere.
Since I can't reply to their reply and after reading through other reviews as well, you will have to forgive me if I don't accept your regret as genuine as I don't expect a call from the owner nor a reply to my email regarding this situation for a resolution.

We stayed for the night. It's close to Kentucky Kingdom, and that's why we were in town. Horrible breakfast. Day-old gravy and rock-hard biscuits and boiled eggs and cereal. No healthy option other than not eating. The room was aged and worn. Picture shows grout broken up between the tiles and actually caused me to jump when I stepped in a sharp piece. The ice machine on the 2nd floor doesn't work. Signs on the front door indicate a problem with non guests loitering around the property. Kentucky hotels have lower standards, it seems.
Nearby activities: Kentucky Kingdome and fairgrounds are very close by.

Okay, I'm usually not one to be all negative Nancy, but I'm going to be on my soap box for a few minutes this morning to shout out a PSA to anyone who travels for sports:
We traveled to KY for the Rising Run for Roses tournament earlier this month. The tournament itself was great. The issue lies with it being a stay-to-play event, and the travel agency you have to book through in order to play there. To start with I tried for 2 weeks to get the link to work to book a room, but it was continually showing ZERO vacancies anywhere. Eventually I used the "contact me" link and sent an email to the agency explaining my issue & asked for assistance. She was polite & apologized & sent me another link to try (which tbh looked identical to the one online, but it worked whereas the other didn't so I didn't question it). A couple days later I finally had time to sit and research the places to stay. I opted for Sleep Inn because it was the very closest to the venue & it was just going to be me & the girls & I didn't like having to drive further than necessary in an unfamiliar town with just us. I booked, it was uneventful, I got my confirmation & thought I was all set. Come back to work after the July 4th holiday & check my email & boy was I surprised to see Sleep Inn had emailed me SEVEN reminders & "looking forward to seeing you on your upcoming stay" emails. Initially I thought it was just a glitch until I looked a little closer & noticed they ALL had different confirmation numbers, and only one of them was the original one I got when I booked. I panicked. Charging me for 7 rooms would be nearly $3000. I contacted Sleep Inn, they told me it was an issue with the travel agency & to contact them - but in the mean time "they'd make a note that it was only to be one room". I emailed team firs travel & they said they'd look into it. Got there and they wanted to charge me for all 7. I explained again, it was only 1...have no clue where the other 6 came from. They said again to contact the travel agency, that was a mistake on their end...and they'd only charge me for one room. Then proceeded to run my card twice (insert eyeroll here). I went online again & found a number to the travel agency, called but no one answered (it was a message that they were traveling & to leave a message or call back I think). Then I got an auto reply text from that number. I just hung up. We talked through the running the card twice thing & got it taken care of and by the time I checked out it for sure was just one room, one charge, good-to-go.....or so I thought. Fast forward to this morning & I've now been charged an additional $200 from Sleep Inn for "no shows" on those 6 rooms. The 6 other rooms I didn't book. The 6 other rooms that were supposed to be fixed. Oh My Freaking Gosh Darn It. I called the hotel, chewed the little fella out that answered the phone then apologized profusely because I know it's not his fault & that's not who I am. Thankfully he accepted my apology but he is supposed to have a manager call me back. The thing is, they need to be calling the travel agency to fix because #1) They paired with the travel agency & #2) the travel agency paired with them....I'm not in that equation and THIS SHOULD NOT STILL BE MY FREAKING PROBLEM!!! I also emailed the travel agency...again. Saying all of that to say: if you travel for sports - PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GRAVY PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CHARGES, WHO YOU BOOK THROUGH AND WHO YOU BOOK WITH...AND DON'T STAY AT A SLEEP INN EVEN IF IT'S CLOSER, AND DON'T BOOK WITH TEAM FIRST TRAVEL, FIND ANOTHER WAY TO BOOK! We spoke with other parents staying there and some said they had been charged multiple rooms too, again, is that on the travel agency or the hotel? And one parent checked in, got their keys & room #, went to the room and it was already occupied! That level of incompetency makes me thi

I booked a room with choice hotels and my flight was cancelled due to bad weather. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my entire trip . Everyone was understanding and issued a refund, except for choice hotels, who gave me the runaround and decided to keep the entire amount I paid ($836.00). I was even willing to forego the first night's rate, but they elected to keep it all. Do not book through choice, and do not stay at Sleep Inn hotel. They will rip you off!
I am still waiting for your "investigation" to tell me how it is you people feel it's okay to keep my money, without providing any services! The very least you could have done is give me a free weekend stay or SOMETHING for the amount of money you scammed out of me! You people need to change your policy to allow people to receive refunds, whose reservations have to be cancelled due to situations out of their control!
It is unfair, and really shows how very little you care about your customers, and how insincere your letter of concern is. If you really cared, keep the first night's rate, and give the balance of my money back!
Noteworthy details: Don't! Don't book with choice, don't support sleep inn on Preston highway. They say they care, yet will keep every dime of your money if you can't make it to the hotel due to situations beyond your control. :-(

Hotel was ok but the girl working during the day if you could find her was useless. I went down to the pool with my grandson and we asked after hunting around for her if we could have some towels. Her answer was "they are in the dryer" That's it no towels no answer. Completely incompetent. The girl that came in for the afternoon was wonderful and brought us towels right away. Not worth the money at all.

Great location, great price, great staff. Breakfast was good. My only complaint would be that in the mornings I could hear others closing their doors, that woke me up.

Very convenient for the airport and the convention center.
Front desk staff were good. One middle aged white woman was exceptional.
The rooms are clean, the bathrooms too though a little shabby. All things considered, very good for the price.

The location and rooms like exactly like what you see in the pictures. Every staff person we encountered were friendly and helpful. The guy at the front desk was exceptionally helpful.
We were in Louisville for a trade show at the Kentucky Expo Center. The Sleep Inn is right next to one of the entry gates, we could not have gotten any closer to the Expo Center short of staying inside the gate.
Nearby activities: Kentucky Expo Center is right next to the Sleep Inn.

I love the Sleep Inn brand, but this one pales in comparison to the others I've stayed at. It is, however, very close to the fairgrounds, which is probably a big deal for convention attendees . . .

Not too expensive. The rooms were clean. It's pet friendly - $25 charge per night. They even have hot breakfast.
Check-in was easy. They do require a $100 deposit. I recommend bringing cash because it takes 3-5 business days to get it back if you use a card.
Rooms: Clean
Walkability: Close to Thortons and a few restaurants

Great location to the convention center.
Will definitely stay again.
There is a loud beeping noise outside and it is near the airport. The rooms are quiet with the occasional plane passing over head.
Walkability: There is a mcdonalds and subway with in Walking distance and a gas station right next door
