Has improved drastically over the last year but is still very noisy and the new TVs still lack a sleep timer

Our room was nice and the property has a remodeled feel and was well kept. The location is adjacent to and we'll within walking distance to the main downtown area. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn fare. We didn't have any issues walking to/from downtown. Even though they charge $15 per night parking, at least the lot is fenced in by a tall fence with on-site security making the rounds regularly.

I am a Hilton Diamond member, I wanted to say that my time here at the hotel was OK. The pool is not working :(However, what made my stay pleasant was how amazing my housekeeper was. Kirenia was very attentive. She did an awesome job cleaning and made sure I was comfortable by giving me extra towels when I needed and was pleasant to me. I would come back based on that.

I cannot say we had a good experience at this place. I find it sad we were told they will not honor military discount because they were almost sold out of rooms for the night. So that shows me Hampton inn doesn’t truly care about honoring military members. I will say the front desk employees were very nice and apologetic. So after paying almost $400 for ONE night we walk into a room with carpet that feels like it hasn’t been cleaned in 20 years and a toilet that is disgusting. Then we get on the elevator and see a USED TOILET PLUNGER. So gross. You win some, you lose some but not honoring military members really threw me off. Very sad.

We are Hilton Honors Diamond members which is only to say that we have stayed in quite a few Hamptons. While overall, it seems like the quality of Hilton properties has really gone down since the pandemic, this Hampton was particularly disappointing. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was pretty good for the standard Hampton breakfast. However, our double queen room was shockingly small. With three adults, we couldn't move around the room without bumping into each other. The TV was nice, but often didn't have a signal. The bathtub filled with at least 3 inches of water during a 10 minute shower and the shower curtain didn't reach the full length of the tub, partially because the rod was falling off the wall. The bathroom vanity, while notably large, had no real drawers or usable shelves. Instead it had two shallow shelves that weirdly looked like drawers, but were just shelves on top. The beds were very hard and bouncy and the pillows were all super thick/firm, which for me, wasn't very comfortable. The bottom sheets also did not fit the mattress, which meant they were constantly popping off the corners and bunching up while you slept. I was also disappointed to leave that they only clean the rooms every other day which meant during our 4-day stay, they only serviced the room once (though they did a great job). This was particularly annoying because the bathroom had limited places to hang towels, which meant it was hard to find a place to leave your towel during the day to let it dry so that you can use it again the next day. All in all, with all the hotels in the area, I would try to start somewhere else.

Rooms were nice but we had a negative experience with some staff our last day staying here.Staff closed down breakfast before the designated time. As a young girl was trying to get a waffle she had cooked out of the waffle maker and the staff began crowding her out/away from any food items, not allowing her to retrieve the food she had made. After the girl left they proceeded to throw away her fully cooked waffle and other unfinished food very rudely. For the price of a stay here that kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially towards a young guest. (For context this young lady was accompanied and was very well behaved and respectful. In no was causing any problems)Would not recommend.Noteworthy details: Rude staff

Kentucky derby weekend we stayed here and wow.. we were over the moon with Debbie and the staff here. They went above and beyond for not only us but all who stayed here for the derby. They were soo kind and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again due to the staff.

Great location for events and within walking distance from a lot of select bars/venues. Main issues were that there was hair in our shower from a previous customer. The breakfast also did not have a great variety of food. They had polish sausage as "maple sausage", and what looked to be out of package omelets. One of the elevators were also down, and if youre on a lower floor during checkout time, just save your time and use the stairs. Make sure to lock your cars at night as people like to "wander" the parking lot lurking into peoples windows. I will say that a good plus was that we had nice hot water for our showers, and the beds/pillows were so comfortable.Rooms: Rooms were pretty clean aside from some hair we found on the wall in the shower. Comfortable beds, and a nice set up. Mini fridge included. Was not comfortable with the fact that there were doors connecting to other people's rooms, but at least we can lock it.Safety: Not the safest location, had someone lurking around cars the night we stayed, and then the next morning, there were people in the alleyway behind the hotel fighting. Lots of drunks out at night too.Walkability: Within walking distance of a lot of hangout spots.Food & drinks: Drinks are ridiculously expensive, so save some money and pack some extra drinks for your stay. Breakfast was not fantastic either.

Zero stars! Horrible. Don’t stay here. We travel more than we are at home—love hotels…this trip, we booked several rooms months in advance and called to confirm details. Upon arrival, as the sole female arriving on time, I was met with rude male employee on 5/2/24 evening (prioritized a man BEHIND me in line vs me bc he didn’t like that my check-in involved asking if my requests (extra Towels, pillows, water) were filled.. the man at the desk informed me that he couldn’t fill those needs and he allowed the man behind me to push me out of the way as the man behind me engaged in “accusatory Words” so he could push me out of his way for service. When I questioned it, the man behind desk immediately honored the man behind me instead of completing my proper check in.I could be fine with this, but it was the rude statements and terrible service that were not only dismissive, but disheartening to a new guest.I further explained I recently had surgery and need help with bags—help was not provided. After the fact A kind security guard showed up on my floor to offer help With my bags-after I managed to drag them to my room alone….the physical damage is already done at this point.Once I reach my room, The room is smelly, moldy, and gross-don’t usually stay at Hilton, and we certainly won’t again after this. I don’t even want to unpack my belongings…(hope I can find different hotel tomorrow). I wouldn’t stay here by choice ever. Only reason I’m staying is because I’m worn out from late flight. -sucks to be a woman here at Hampton inn Louisville. Whoever is working desk on 5/3/14 at 1:00am is not meeting our group’s, or my, basic needs. He is not caring for his guests or using a customer serivice mentality. I have never had such a bad hotel experience —we typically stay at Marriotts and love them. Can’t wait to get back to a Marriott.i dread the rest of this stay due to facilities and service. It feels like a motel8, but worse.

Good location, parking is a little inaccessible as you’ll have to go on the street to go back to the hotel. Standard well stocked breakfast. Room, kitchen and bathroom appeared clean.I was in for the night and trying to get to sleep as I was driving the whole day. A dog was barking from 8:30 until 10 pm. I called the front desk around 9 and they said they would have someone go upstairs to check. Still barking continued. I called at 9:30. They said they didn’t hear it. I told them the room number and held up the phone as the dog barked. They believed me, sent someone up. Sometime later the front desk called and said they contacted the owner, who said they are coming back. The dog didn’t stop until a little past 10 pm.I don’t know what the hotel could have done, as there is or should be a rule (if not common sense!) that you shouldn’t leave your dog unattended at a hotel. The walls are notoriously thin in hotels like this. The poor dog was probably lonely and wouldn’t cried until someone came back. It just.. kind of ruined the evening for me and I couldn’t get back to sleep until later. Even at the sixth floor there was a fair bit of road noise from the downtown street even with the curtains and shade down. This is reaching, though. If one is just concerned about a clean room, safe surroundings, secure parking, and a good breakfast, this is the place to go to in downtown Louisville.
