Kevin, John, and Al were very helpful. Worked with our little family to find a nice used train-set for the upcoming advent/christmas season. Service was even super helpful, when on a whim, I needed the tender looked at; Kevin took immediate action to get right to assuring it worked. Other businesses would have required us to leave it, them shipping it off, and having us wait weeks til we heard back from them about what was wrong with it. In the meantime, we were back up and running within minutes.

Friendly staff huge selection. Definitely worth the 2 hour drive. I'm glad there are still actual hobby train stores to go to. I appreciate talking to knowledgeable staff. Thank you. I definitely will be back.

A decent sized hobby shop spread across several rooms featuring most of the popular model railroad scales, including O, HO, N and G. They also have a good selection of railroad books in one room. While O gauge is probably has the largest amount of stuff by inventory, there's a decent amount for an N scaler like me, and with pre-owned collections always coming in, there's typically something new to see each time I visit. The staff has always been friendly and acknowledged me when I visit.

The best and most friendly train store in town. I highly recommend the staff. They converse with kids as well as adults. My 9yr old will spend excessive amount of time talking trains to the staff. I will be visiting again and again.

This place is so cute! I didn’t end up getting a train but I did end up with some buildings for my Christmas village. Price wise this is definitely a collectors store, so if that’s your jam or you are looking to get into collecting I can’t suggest this place enough, everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. It was enjoyable to hear about the different trains and set ups. I can’t wait to check this place out next year. The shop is a bunch of different rooms, so it was a bit cramped and confusing. I still suggest visiting this place at least once.

We stopped in with our son and they took the time to show us around and answer questions and help us get information for the next model train get-togethers!! The people working there are very knowledgeable about different scales of trains. They can fix and replace some parts on train cars. Their inventory of cars and accessories are good size for the different sizes. They also have some older parts in boxes for those who are looking to do the work themselves. Very helpful employees.

Great train shop. I have been into several while traveling this week and this is by far the nicest and best stocked. Kevin and his staff and friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. I will definitely stop by again when I pass through Louisville.
