What a great spot…excellent meat, cooked correctly, off the Main Street and well worth the short excursion. Cocktails were great as well.

I love this place! Not only is the butcher shop amazing, the restaurant is one of my all time favorite places. We recently moved to the area and Louisville has a lot of amazing restaurants. That being said we have already eaten at Red Hog five times and keep coming back for more. All of the ingredients are amazing and the staff is very attentive and friendly. My wife is gluten free and they have a lot of great options and no "hidden" irritating ingredients. The Cuban sandwich is to die for, get the fries, which are delicious, so you can dip them in the amazing green sauce! They also have great cocktails and beer selection. Have a Kentucky Mule, you wont be disappointed!

Called on short notice and the staff went out of their way to hold a spot for us on a busy Friday. Everything was delicious — I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a carrot more than the salt roasted dukkah carrots they served us, and the pink peppercorn chocolate tart was absolutely perfect. What a gem!

after dining here several times over the last few years, i can confidently say this is one of my favorite restaurants in town. whether i’m stopping in for charcuterie and a glass of wine by myself or bringing in my partner, friends, or family to have a full spread, we’re always happy.my partner and i work in fine dining and really really appreciate that we get fresh and thoughtfully prepared food every time. the service is always super. we’ve been taken care of by lots of sweet folks, but Darian has taken care of our table a few times and is always on point. he’s polite, informative, and considerate each time.i never take enough photos, but my dinner date tonight took a couple that i will attach. the green drink is a staple house cocktail called the Poblano Peridot which is a smokey margarita-adjacent cocktail and the pink one is a special with a romantic name i can’t remember which was a lovely sort of apricot Negroni. We had a salted ruby chocolate tart with a fluffy yogurt on the side and the most lovely panna cotta with a crumble and passionfruit jelly. loved it so much i had to bring some home to my partner.i fear i have approached rambling rather than reviewing, so i’ll end by saying we ♥️ Red Hog.

I was working across the street and smelled smoke. So I decided to go check them out and was shocked! First off I knew from the menu layout they were pricey. Basically, every part of the food is made in-house or locally and fresh. The fries are, absolutely perfect and delicious. Well worth the money. The burger, it's delicious even with barely anything on it! The bun is the best I've ever had!

I got the lunch menu burgers with sides of fries, and they were delicious! It was 3 of us and we ordered to go so I looked around while I waited for my food. The environment was modern and cool. They have a great drink menu as well! I will definitely come back to eat inside.

Running low on quail and ran out by the time we ordered at 7pm . For hot drink options mulled wine and cidru are available. We enjoyed beef tartar on toast not crackers.Winter salad was on bitter side with citrus fruits and minimal dressing : red or white wine. Two shavings of dry feta did not help either- this is a Summer salad. We had the pleasure to interact with three servers, two very flexible and one less observant; ask for salt and pepper or alternative dressing - not available. The bright green house sauce which is present along most dishes is extra tangy made with strong vinegar.Outdoor seating in tent and with heaters and a beautifully tended garden was empty. Inside the two adjacent rooms were somehow busy but we were not seated on main room. Our seating was by delicatessen window …I would not seat reservations in this area when other options available ..as in seats at a long table.Pleasant background music and a good 20 minutes waiting for main dishes.Hamburger grilled to perfection but grilled pork was just ok and had a sweet side sauce.Thumbs up for using #sustainable straws!!Thank you for supporting the local farmers!!Overall this venue did not live up to the raves we browsed online but is a decent runner up for sure.$124 for three.

We had incredible meals at Red Hog during our trip to Louisville. The staff is unbelievable and the food and drink are out of this world. The space is open and warm. Simply put - this is the reason to go out for dinner.

Great food and experience. Attached to the restaurant is their store which has a wonderful selection of meats, ranging from cured meats and dry aged ribeyes to hangar steaks. Knowledgeable folks there that know what they’re doing for sure! Meat quality is great, and looking forward to frequenting them more often!

Red Hog is my favorite restaurant in Louisville. They catered my wedding this past Saturday. The food was SO good! Anna was so great to work with throughout the whole process. Thank you Red Hog for delivering a meal I will never forget on my wedding day. You all are the best!

I really like this place. They make their own meats and sausages. They buy local cheeses and breads. I usually get the charcuterie board to get a good sampling. Cheeseburger is great also. Real nice people.
