High quality local health food. A little pricey for some thing but you get what you pay for. I'd much rather know where my food is coming from than not. Plus they're the only place I know that sells my favorite energy drink.

Also locally sourced bread and other alternative goods you can't find elsewhere in this state. May they turn a profit forever and ever.

Love the smoothie bar, fresh local produce, overall selection and pleasant staff. Becoming more of a regular preferring RB over Whole Foods these days.

Biggest rainbow blossom in the Louisville area. Fairly good selection of quality, organic foods, etc.The employees running the juice bar however, lack customer service skills.

A decent little specialty market, very neat and clean, laid out in such a way that you can really navigate the space. Farmers market outside on Sundays starting in May. However, the day I was there it was too early in the season and the vendors had very little to offer. I do have one bone to pick though, I bought a clamshell package of what was supposed to be an "arugula mix". It was $5.99, I get it home and it is literally all lettuce with two tiny leaves of arugula on top. Kind of shady. Won't be buying that again

I love the St. Matthew's store because it's bigger than the Highlands one. I honestly just like to go and walk up and down every aisle to see what new vegan things I can find. There's a smoothie bar inside, grab n go with vegan options, huge supplement section and friendly staff. It's the perfect place to go when I'm looking for a specific ingredient regular grocery stores don't have.

Medium sized health food markets are not common in Kentucky, but I managed to find this one on the outskirts of Louisville. Apparently this is the original but there are other locations. This is definitely on the expensive side, even compared to your various big box upscale grocers. What I can say is that their sale items were really on sale; not so much 10% off but sometimes half or more. Check expiration dates and such of course, but I did feel like there were some deals to be had. There were certainly plenty of quality and interesting products. The non-food element was a substantial part of the store, with an abundance of supplements and personal care products. The vegetables were few in quantity and organic, and a little salad bowl restaurant sat at the front of the store. Not sure it could really function as a primary grocer for me, but if you spread yourself around and are hunting for specific items here, you can probably find something good.

In my experience, this chain’s service is hit or miss. I’ve never been greeted warmly, welcomed back or experienced genuine conversation with employees. I’ve shopped two Louisville locations for years and the customer service has been consistently disappointing for the prices charged. Product offerings are always great but the human engagement component leaves something to be desired.

They now carry Key Beverages which is an incredible organic water kefir made locally. I tend to stop by, get a to-go lunch, a Key, and I always feel so refreshed after. The staff is always so nice and remind me often to use my rewards. It always smells nice and is incredibly inviting! I'd shop groceries here everytime over the big chain markets.

I hope this one Star gets your attention and helps you understand a store like this should NOT be playing generic classic rock and/or commercial nonsense as your musical ambience. degrading. Is this Walgreens or a local health food store?

Great selection, good customer service, lots of variety. Somewhat expensive, but definitely the flagship location for the area. Natural everything you can imagine, and some stuff you haven't heard of. Taste the rainbow.
