Went with some family in October. We booked last minute and weren't sure what to expect. The owner was so engaged and helpful. He was really invested in making sure we were able to bring our different ideas for our pieces to life. We all agreed after that it was one of our favorite experiences during our week in Louisville. Highly recommend.

Went on a tour with my son's school which was fine, and the kids all paid to make magnets at the end of the tour.
I paid for my two children, and was asked to write my name and number down so they could let me know when to pick them up. They said it would take a few days.
Fast forward a week and no calls came, so I called them and they said they were ready but had to be bagged. I told them I was traveling out of town but if I possibly I would snag them that day, and if not then the following Tuesday.
Tuesday, I come down to pick them up. Shop is listed as opening at 10, but I guess not consistently. I wait with my kids for an hour and still no sign of the owner or his assistant. The shop next door, Flame Run, was helpful and tried to call and allowed us to sit and wait near their workshop to entertain the kids. Unfortunately the owner of Payton's Glass still didn't show and at this point I suggested to the school to ask for a refund.
Not a great experience overall. I'd skip this place and have told the school to not schedule again for next summers activities. Would not recommend this shop.

This place was fun and fantastic!!! Mark was amazing! Very kind, patient, and fun! Thank you for giving a great 75th birthday experience to my mom. She had a blast!! I will come back sometime. I highly recommend Payton's Glass!!!

Mark and Jessie were great when facilitating making glass sun-catcher crafts with a large group. It was a very enjoyable experience and Jessie did a great job helping everyone and making sure everyone in the group could hear and understand her instructions. I would do this again!

We have had multiple interactions with Mark and not only is he professional but also kind, patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. He is excited and passionate to share his craft. He possesses all the great traits a good teacher should. I would definitely recommend booking a session with him. He gives you 100% of his attention.It is a shame that one bad post on social media could hurt years of hard work and dedication when people are ignorant to a situation. I know that he works hard and is very customer oriented. Book your session now!!! You will not be sorry!!!

We had a great time on the tour. In the gift shop they sell glass slugs (they are way too cute). The glass blowing demonstration of making the snowmen was informative and entertaining. We made sun catchers, they turned out really cool.

My family and I went in over thanksgiving weekend 2023. We stayed over 2 hours and had a blast! Kids are 10 & 13. My daughter wanted to make Stitch and he had never done that and tried it out with her - Mark was patient and fun! Really fun time and incredibly affordable! We will be back next time we are in town!

Love the full experience at this wonderful establishment. Everything in the building makes me feel creative and adventurous! The pieces offered for a private lesson are fun and not too challenging. At each time I go I have a unique experience. I will be taking my niece this year to make the snowman and we are both elated. Looking forward to a new annual tradition with one of my favorite people.

Took grandson for a little adventure before he headed off to college. He enjoyed this very much. We will have a great memory and he will have a very cute penguin. Mark was very patient and knowledgeable. Thank you!

Mark is very knowledgeable and encouraging. My husband and I had never done glasswork before but we each did a FlameIt project with him and he taught us step by step what to do. This was a lot of fun. There were many different designs to choose from and several different colors. I would definitely encourage doing this and I will be coming back if I get the chance!
