My favorites at Muth’s are the bourbon balls, modjeskas, cherry sours, chocolate covered toffee and butterscotch dipped pretzels (which they don't make anymore ☹️). You can't go wrong here! Muth's is a must stop when visiting Louisville, just make sure you check their hours first so you don't miss out!

A true Louisville gem! With a wide selection of candies, many handcrafted by 3rd and 4th generation family members, it's a candy lover's paradise. The store has an old fashioned charm that is unlike any other candy shop in town.
If you like caramel and marshmallows you MUST try their Modjeskas. Many Louisville shops sell a variation of this treat but Muth’s uses the original recipe that was given to them in the early 20th century. They’re my go to!
Whether you're a visitor or a local, Muth's Candies is the perfect place to shop for gifts or indulge your sweet tooth. By supporting this local business, you're also helping to keep a piece of Louisville's history alive.

Average atmosphere. Very small space but full of tons of flavor! My candy advisor was so nice and helpful. Love the Majidoris!

Visited here with a group and while the inside is on the smaller side, there is a wide variety of treats on the shelves inside. We visited in October so there were many fall and Halloween themed candies. Everyone in our group bought something including those that preferred sugar free treats.

Muth's Candies is a small shop in downtown Louisville, but they have a great variety of chocolates and Modjeskas, which are delicious! They also have bourban balls. The people working there were very nice and knowledgable. Definitely check out this place if you like good chocolate!

I just wanted to let you know how much my parents enjoyed your exceptional confections. I was visiting my parents in Pennsylvania last month. They were telling me to try these caramels they purchased from somewhere in Pittsburgh. They were alright , but that's when I knew I had to make the call to Muth's for delivery to their place. I ordered the Modjeskas , along with the dark chocolate covered ones and also some malted milk balls. Well , my mom(84) and dad (86) went nuts. So needless to say my parent's and I are fans for life. To top it off there was a glitch on the delivery so you all waived the delivery charges. I can't thank you enough. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them enjoy your hard work. Thank you ! ❤️

The candy here is delicious!! Lemon cookie was soooo good! The staff was very friendly. Definitely recommended for younique chocolate souvenirs or gifts

Scrumptious housemade bourbon balls, chocolates, candies, specialty chocolate designs, Kentucky/Fleur de Lis/horse/horseshoe/Derby chocolates, caramels, Modjeskas, brittles, souvenir Muth Candies magnets and more! Old school shop with fantastic customer service, ample street parking.

OMG. It’s candy. It’s fantastic. If you don’t love everything at Muth’s you probably weren’t hugged enough as a child. The people are friendly. The candy is awesome. There isn’t much to add to this review- try the bourbon barrels and the bourbon turtles…you’re in Louisville after all…
