Excellent spot to take in the Ohio and learn the importance of the water company to the city (and surrounding areas.) The space is used by locals throughout the year for various festivals, Reggaefest and Steamboat Race are of personal note. Easy access to good food/parks within 10 minutes.

Historic water tower dating back to 1850s. Restored and opened as water museum. Authentically detailed restoration, historic landmark. See and learn how safe drinking water initiatives made Louisville a pioneer in public health since 1850.

The Louisville Water Tower, located east of downtown Louisville, Kentucky near the riverfront, is the oldest ornamental water tower in the world, having been built before the more famous Chicago Water Tower.[2] Both the actual water tower and its pumping station are a designated National Historic Landmark for their architecture. As with the Fairmount Water Works of Philadelphia (designed 1812, built 1819–22), the industrial nature of its pumping station was disguised in the form of a Roman temple complex.Built1860ArchitectScowden, Theodore R.Architectural styleClassical Revival

Went there for the hot sauce BBQ fest. It was crazy hot and not enough vendors. So there was very low food choices and the ones that were there ran out of food.

Had a great time, artist was great also. Not so great parking attendants. But, not so courteous drivers either.

A super long time ago, I had one of my school pieces performed at a poetry reading and that was really cool. The indoor venue is quaint but you have to appreciate the historic appearance and unique location. More recently I did some modelling pics and it is such an amazing spot for photos! The massive front field, white building, and even a little stone bench amidst trees make a very good cottagecore style location.

Louisville water tower park is a downtown riverfront park wth an active and historic water tower near the banks of the Ohio river. There is a beautiful landscapes area with awesome and historic looking buildings. There is a Water Tower Museum but appointments (reservations) are required and we were not able to visit the museum. We did visit the park itself and saw the exterior grounds and signs but did not see inside. I understand the facility can also be rented as a venue for parties or events.
