**Long post, MY EXPERIENCE at Louisville Marriott Downtown**
I attended Burnett Avenue Baptist Church 135th Anniversary Gala and it was simply BEAUTFUL. To see US in our #afterfive attire was "stunning!" I saw classmates, childhood friends I grew up with, and met some really nice people. The attendance was sold out. You could feel the brotherly and sisterly love from everyone. Burnett Avenue Baptist Church did their thing putting this together.?? Shout out to the committee for the different props to take pictures, the display of the history of the church, the fonobo, etc...
On the other hand, Louisville Marriott Downtown need to be called out on a few things I experienced. Every server had a language barrier. I tried to ask a question, and they just look at you like you crazy. Not one person was bilingual or could speak English, but you have them working in an environment where the majority people that visit this establishment speak English. (make that make sense). The food was horrible in my opinion. The chicken breast was dry and no flavor or seasoning to any of the food whatsoever. The little bit I did eat for my $125 made me so sick to my stomach. I spent more time in the bathroom than anything. It taste like processed food warmed up in the oven. They need a real chef in their kitchen. Oh, and the ladies room, we had no toilet paper in three of the four stalls. We all in the bathroom using Kleenex that was on the counter. Not to mention, the one stall that did have some toilet paper, we passing it under the stalls so people would have something to use. They never brought none in until it was almost over, but I ended up leaving because my stomach was in bad shape. This is totally unacceptable for this to be a so called "five star hotel." This post is not for everyone or may not had this experience, but I'm gonna speak "my peace on my page". ? #LouisvilleMarriott needs to do better!?

Here for a conference. Location could not be better. Close to the distilleries, 4th Street and Whiskey Row. Excellent staff at front desk. Lobby and hotel bar are great. Room was excellent.
Rooms: My room was great. Spacious. Fridge.
Walkability: Central to 4th street and to whiskey row.

Solid Marriott hotel with good rooms. Only reason for not 5 stars is food and bar close during afternoon and too early at night.

There was a small problem when I got to my room, but the manager took care of it and we truly appreciate him for that!
Rooms: Comfortable beds and clean rooms
Nearby activities: Within walking distance to numerous activities
Safety: Police station is directly across the street and they circle the block frequently
Food and drinks: Restaurant is connected to hotel, and there are others within walking distance

My friend Ken Butler prefers the hourly rate at the local cash and crash. But when I'm traveling I like the Marriott in downtown Louisville. It's a great venue for a conference and the staff is excellent and super friendly.

Solid hotel in downtown Louisville with a Starbucks, a pretty decent restaurant and bar, and good conference facilities. The bartender at Porch definitely knows how to make a good Ol’ fashioned.

Front desk staff was personable and attentive. I never got the sense that I was a bother. The room is large with a great view of the river (1641). Not enough storage for clothes unless you are traveling alone. My constant issue as with most hotels being charged for wifi. Wifi these days is as necessary as lights/water. You didn't charge me extra for either of those.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The hotel is conveniently located across from the convention center; there’s even an enclosed walkway to utilize in bad weather. The rooms are updated, clean, and spacious. I was disappointed they didn’t offer breakfast included. There is a restaurant and a coffee shop in the lobby. There’s also a club Marriott on the ground floor.
Safety: The area was fine to walk around in by day, but at night it was not safe. You need to be with someone else if you are walking at night.
