We had the best experience 10 days ago when we adopted Zachary from the KY Humane Society East Campus. We went in just to see who was available. The facility is very clean and the staff is quite knowledgeable about the available adoptees. Very kind and friendly people! Kelli was our awesome adoption counselor and when we told her what we were looking for in a pet, she immediately knew Zachary (who is now named Zachary Binx and affectionately called "Binx" most of the time) was the one for us.
She was so excited and told us all about him. We spent some time in the visiting room with him and fell in love. It was the end of the day so we couldn't adopt him, but we were back the next morning and couldn't wait to take him home.
He is the perfect pup! Thank you so much for rescuing him so that he could rescue us. Binx is living his best life and loves the park, car rides, his toys, and of course, pup cups!

I have mad respect for this organization. It takes a very special type of person to show up and show out as the employees that do this type of work do on a daily basis. The staff were kind and helpful, the animals living areas were as clean as the circumstances allow. The one thing I noticed though, was the high adoption fees, coming in at almost $400.00. I realize that the cost of taking care of these babies may be the reason for the price of adoption, I just think that that might interfere with some people's ability to afford adopting any of these beautiful babies. My heart goes out to the employees of this organization for their devotion to animals in need ❣️..

I adopted Birdie last Saturday. She’s a four month old puppy. I was told when I adopted her that someone had adopted her before me and brought her back. They had another dog, and they said that she was too aggressive! She’s a puppy how aggressive could she be? Anyway she’s doing great, she clings to me of course which is wonderful! I love her so much! And she’s growing like a weed! The Humane Society is a wonderful place to get a dog! All of those dogs need good homes and why go pay all that money when you can get a dog like mine ! They have every breed known to man in there. And the place is so clean and the dogs are clean and fed the best food. It’s an amazing place so if you’re wanting a pet, you should go there.

I took my puppy to the vet on the property. It was exceptional service and extremely fast and cheap. I highly recommend the care a van for all dog owners.

Just adopted a puppy from here, the staff were SO friendly, gave us so much information, the dogs really seemed to really trust everyone of the staff there, I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to get a pet.

I can here for a Care-a-van appointment for my dog. They were super friendly, fast, and helpful. Their services and preventatives are a lot more affordable than your average vet and they still provide the same quality of care. I will definitely be coming back.

Is sad how they talk about having to put dogs down but I go up there to adopt one and they tell me my kids have to be 12 and older I never knew your kids have to be a certain age to adopt a dog

Hello I’m looking to try to get some help with my 3 cats to have someone to foster them . I have lost my apartment an where I’m currently staying I can’t keep them an it’s getting hot this week they are currently in my car I’m doing the best I can to make sure they are kept cool an well taking care of . Please any help it’s greatly appreciated.

I went to the center for a sterilization of my Gatica and even without speaking the doctors' language, I felt so satisfied with their attention to my Gatica and to me, the immensely kind and attentive staff.
