My mom purchased a brand new car from James Collins in 2019 and got their maintenance package. This was a huge mistake. Our experience over the past few years has been far from pleasant. Any time we enter the building, the service team made it feel like they did not want to serve us. They also do not answer their phones, or call you to update you on your cars status. We have been left without contact for 4 days before we drove across town to the dealership to ask about our car. Not to mention an appointment doesn’t mean prompt service. You can have an appointment Tuesday morning and get your car looked at the following week. Overall horrible experience and would not recommend for anyone.Update to review:I just wanted to respond to a few points made by the dealer so other potential customers don’t get misled:1. I only received contact from Mr. Mekuria after I had waited 4 days without any updates and had to drive across town to the dealership to talk in person. They also did not pick up the 10s of phone calls we gave them days after dropping off our car.2. I was only given a loaner car after being out of a car for 4 days with no communication.3. I made it extremely clear to Mr. Mekuria that my family was so distraught by our experience that we just want the recall taken care of and we will take care of the other issue somewhere else. Your team still failed to follow those basic instructions.4. Giving us a refund 4 years after a mistake your team made is nothing to brag about.Have a nice day.

My husband and I have bought several vehicles and James Collins has been the best experience by far. Jason Clark had us in and out. No sitting around all day to buy a vehicle. Not to mention he made sure we got any discounts that applied to us. James Collins was very fair on our trade too! We will definitely be back for our next vehicle.Angela Burch

The service at James Collins Ford is absolutely top-notch. I have used them before coming in to have standard maintenance done and also repairs at their downtown location and they have always been prompt kept me in the loop on status and overall very friendly. I used their pick up service for the first time this week and it was such a wonderful timesaver. They communicated so well on when they were picking up the car, who was picking up the car, the status of it getting back to the dealership to be worked on, when it was complete and when they were dropping it back off. The service department called me to let me know what needed to be done and I can approve it , I paid everything online and it could not have been any easier. I am so glad that I chose them to service my car and will continue to use them in the future 100%.

I originally went to James Collins Ford to look at a vehicle, an F-150 offered on the website, because the packages offered on the truck were what I was searching for to replace a 2011 F-150. However this vehicle sold before I could get to the business. My salesperson, Josh Hausman, suggested that I order a truck with these same features to ensure I received what I wanted. Josh helped me with every step of the process and kept me informed of the truck's status while waiting for manufacture, and helped to make a change to the color before the truck was made. When the truck arrived it was prepared professionally and all the necessary paperwork was completed before I arrived. Josh thoroughly covered the features of the truck, taking time to ensure I was familiar before driving away. Josh Hausman, and the business manager, Daniel Mekuria, were friendly, honest, professional, courteous, and helpful in every way and in every aspect of purchasing this vehicle. I can't recommend, Josh, Daniel, and the James Collins Ford team strongly enough if you're wanting to purchase a vehicle. I assure you, you will be pleasantly surprised at the outstanding service, and enjoy the experience of making a purchase with professionals. Highly recommend James Collins Ford in every respect, awesome experience!

I took my 2018 Ford EcoSport Titanium in for maintenance service after making my appointment on-line. As usual service was spot on and even though I had my coupon in the car and didn't have it with me at the time of payment, I still got the discount. They are fast and friendly and being located in the downtown area makes it a PLUS!

They got me in for an oil change / preventative maintenance job on a recent weekday and dropped me back at a nearby hotel. Couple hours later they called to pick me up. Nice quick turnaround and friendly service. Will definitely solicit again for auto needs next time I'm in Louisville.

Best experience I've had at any kind of a dealership in a long time! The appointment was simple, they got me right in and took care of my vehicle while I waited, my vehicle wasn't filthy afterward like most places and I'm going back there for service. I'll definitely buy from them again! What a pleasure!

Good experience at James Collins Downtown Ford Service CenterThe service desk manager (Jeff)A) listened to my description of symptoms for my old Ranger pickup and condensed this to a couple of sentences meaningful to the diagnosing mechanic,B) called with a estimate within a few dollars of the actual final cost,C) at the end of day Friday before the holiday, actually drove out himself to pick me up so I could have the truck for the 4th of July weekend. (Yes! I was paying a bit after closing time! )This was concerned customer service. You don’t get that very much these days!

Very disappointed to say the least. They have been advertising great deals on the 22 Ford explorers; only to find out these cars aren’t in stock, but yet they advertise them and say they are. They’re using this tactic to lure people in and then sell them the newer model. They’ve been advertising the same great deal for six months.Sales Guy told me “it could be in tomorrow, but in the meantime, we could check out the 23 and tell me what you think.”It’s sketchy enough being downtown, but that doesn’t compare to the sketchiness of the sales tactic.

Wow James Collins Ford! I just saw your interview on Spectrum News about supporting and training former addicts many who had lived down the street from you in a boarding house. To have staff go from incarceration to a master mechanic with a livelihood, home and family is incredible. You are truly investing in people in need and changing lives. Thank you! We recently purchased a new vehicle from James Collins Ford on fifth Street in Louisville, Kentucky. Those guys were as professional and kind as they could be. Daniel Mekuria and Jason Clark were especially helpful but everyone there treated us like family. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable car buying experience. We would also like to mention their leather specialist and service department. They did an outstanding job on our vehicle.
