My husband and I stayed here for our 5 year wedding anniversary and the experience was amazing! The moment we walked in, we were greeted with the amazing smell of smoky wood that really sets the mood for the entire stay. The warm aesthetic follows you through the hotel. All of the staff we interacted with were incredibly welcoming and seemed genuinely joyful to see us. The location on whiskey row was central to so many great bars and places to eat. There is even a speakeasy around the block! As natives to Louisville that relocated for college and careers, coming back and staying at Hotel Distil was truly the best place we could have stayed for our anniversary!Rooms: Spacious and welcoming!

This is the nicest hotel I've stayed at in Louisville. The location is perfect, right on Whiskey Row, next to plenty of great restaurants, bars, and Old Forester's downtown location. The rooms look brand new and they were very clean which I was especially glad to see.Rooms: Very clean. Housekeeping brought new linens and made the beds without having to make a special cleaning request.Nearby activities: Sidebar is a great spot nearby for their bourbon selection and burgers. Old Forester is less than a block away for a tour, tasting, and retail shop. For cocktails, Expo is a great spot.Noteworthy details: The Self Parking garage is on the Southeast corner of the hotel and was $22/night.

Corner room with great view of the water and the KFC Yum center. There is a ton within walking distance including some live music options. The bread at the Hotel restaurant Repeal is worth the stay alone!

Recently stayed here for a bourbon trail weekend. The hotel is in a fantastic location to access many locations on whiskey row. Ambiance is on point and service was top notch. They also host a complimentary community old fashioned (pictured) in the lobby at 7:33pm. The only point keeping me from a 5 star review was the firmness of the bed. Way too firm for my liking, but overall a VERY small detail of an overall great experience.

My husband and I have a soft spot for this hotel and come back to stay for important occasions. I’ve always been impressed and pleased with every aspect but this last trip the hotel went above and beyond expectations. My husband and I were staying for our anniversary weekend when I unexpectedly started feeling bad. This ended up being an ER trip due to how severely sick I was. The hotel manager bent over backwards to check in, accommodate and generally make sure we were good. It meant so much to me that they genuinely seemed to care. I hadn’t even attached my loyalty number to the reservation so they did this out of the kindness of their heart not even knowing I was a high level Marriott member. Thanks Hotel Distil! We will see you for what I hope is a much less dramatic anniversary next year!Rooms: Small but well appointed. Comfy beds. Amazing showers. Decorated very nicely.Nearby activities: All the major distilleries are within walking distance.Walkability: Walking distance to all the downtown hot spots and distilleriesFood & drinks: Repeal is amazing for both food and drinks and is located in the lobby.

My husband and I stayed at hotel distel for 2 nights. I booked a corner king room but at check in we were upgraded to a king suite. The room was amazing! We ate brunch and dinner at Repeal…I can not recommend enough. After checking out….Lulu and Ryan helped load our luggage into the car. It was a perfect 2 day getaway. Do not hesitate booking a room here. Everything was top notch!

Born and raised in Louisville but moved to Texas. Coming home and staying here was such a nice surprise. Felt like a European getaway right in the heart of downtown Louisville! The service was impeccable! Josh & Jenn at breakfast, Andre at the front desk and Ryan & Lulu at valet. Food is delicious, cocktails on point! Walking distance to many attractions. Rooms are beautiful and well appointed, decor is thoughtful and really pays homage to Kentucky. Thanks for a great week Distil!

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Lulu, we knew we had picked the right location for our trip to Louisville. The hotel was perfectly appointed and centrally located to many great places. The staff was knowledgeable and professional. We had drinks and appetizers in the hotel bar and Kalie was fantastic! She had great recommendations and personality. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Our only issue was the power supply for phone chargers weren’t working on either nightstands. Upon leaving Jamal and Lulu remembered which car was ours and greeted us with a smile and directions to send us on our way. Would definitely stay here again.Food & drinks: We had dinner in the restaurant and everything was delicious. The mashed potatoes were smack your mama good!!! Go ahead and order two orders. You won’t be sad about it.

Have always wanted to go to Louisville and do the bourbon trail, and loved staying here for my first hotel.Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, right next door to the old Forester distillery and walking distance from plenty of dining and bars. Fairly small hotel, but decent size restaurant with great steaks and sleek bar. Front desk was quick and efficient, and the prohibition cocktail was solid (to celebrate end of prohibition).Rooms were decently sized and comfortable, could always be slightly larger but fine for a couple. Modern hotel, so furnishings were in good condition and comfortable. Luxurious bath products, and decent sized bath rounds things out.Didn't use many amenities so no comments there, but definitely a solid hotel I will come back to stay next time.

Went and had drinks and dessert at Repeal. Great service. Key Lime Pie was the best. The meringue was unbelievable. Paired with a classic Sazerac.

I wish I never had to come home. This place is as classy as it gets. The lobby and entire hotel are decorated beautifully, the room was super clean, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. And the VIEW! Phenomenal! If you like bourbon and a decent night life this is the place to stay. The entire 5 blocks around the hotel smell like bourbon, I swear, and there is no shortage of places to eat. The food was also super yummy! Already planning our next trip down, and of course, will be staying at Hotel Distil again. Next time we will probably upgrade our room if the extra boujee ones are available. Had such a great stay! Can't wait to go back!Food & drinks: Food and drinks everywhere!

Enjoyed this hotel while on business to Louisville. It's in a great location downtown, but can be quite loud and busy when larger events are going on in the area. Events at the nearby Yum Center can create traffic jams for blocks, making access to the hotel with a car difficult. The street noise from these events was also clearly audible from my room on the 4th floor. However, this would not persuade me to stay elsewhere in the future. It's an easy walk to everything in the area - restaurants, bars, parks, etc. Room was clean and luxurious, and the complimentary water bottles and refill stations were a huge plus. Plenty of equipment in the gym as well for a great workout.Rooms: Comfortable and clean room. One minor drawback was not having a refrigerator in the room. They are available upon request, but may make the room feel a little cramped without a designated location.Walkability: In a great area for everything. I walked to multiple restaurants along Market St., multiple bars parks on or off of Main St., and a short three blocks to Louisville Slugger Field.Food & drinks: Complimentary water bottles in the room were great, and they offer a refill station in the gym. Breakfast at Repeal was fantastic.

We stayed at Distil a few times. Each experience has been exceptional. Valet is attentive. Front desk staff are pleasant and accommodating. The room is wonderfully appointed and the bathrooms are spectacular. Our stays have been relaxing and enjoyable. We have consumed dinners and breakfasts at Repeal - service is top-notch and food delicious. Location is convenient to highways as well as walking or rides to local places. As frequent Marriott patrons, we HIGHLY recommend Distil!Rooms: Well appointed, comfortable and luxuriousFood & drinks: Service is top notch, menu and preparations delicious
