We could not be happier with how well our tuxes turned out for our wedding. Fitting and rental processes were a breeze!

They helped me lace up all the dresses, and were extremely personable. I felt like they actually cared and it made my dress shopping experience 10x better. They were homey and had a large selection of dresses. I plan to go back and purchase one of the ones I tried on!!

My friend setup his groomsmen to get our suits here. I ended up just wanting to purchase mine outright since i didn’t see the harm in owning another suit. They measured me REALLY quick and I payed for the suit. 2-3 weeks later they get it in and I went to go pick it up. The pants came unhemmed which I thought was kinda absurd considering this suit was almost $400. Other places I’ve bought suits from have everything finished for you so you don’t need to take it to a tailor. So I took it to my tailor and he laughed out loud when I told him what I payed for it. He said it was a $120 suit all day long, that it was crazy they didn’t have it hemmed and tailored correctly and that I got absolutely robbed. He said he was going to tell all his customers not to go to Formal Affair because they were ripping off their customers. The material is paper thin and there’s hardly any padding. You can wrinkle the material with your hand and it will stay wrinkled. Bottom line, this place is outrageously overpriced and they don’t seem to care about their customers. My advice: find ANY other place to get your suits. I’ve always had great experiences at Men’s Warehouse.

I live in Louisville and our wedding is in our hometown of Indianapolis. We heard of Formal Affair because my friends Louisville wedding was using them. When I went in to get measured, my Fiancée and I saw a particular suite that we really liked but could not source in Indianapolis. I was hesitant to source my suits out of state but the manager/owner/whoever reassured me that they have done out of state weddings and they go just fine. They have a national measuring organization so anyone anywhere can find a location and get measured, submit it through a website, and be done. Then they would ship the suits to the grooms. So we pulled the trigger. The first issue happened when I went return my groomsmen suite for my friend’s wedding in Louisville. They said I had $100 in late fees. No one ever told me that the suit had to be returned the Monday after the wedding! They were pleasant enough to cut the fees in half. And they showed me the late fees were in the small font below where I signed… almost as though they did not want me to see it when I signed. The next issue happened when I found out that to ship the suits was going to cost me extra. I had no idea when I first signed, they made it sound as though they would take care of it. I settled for paying $24 to ship to my groom in Oklahoma and I would personally deliver the rest of the suits to my groomsmen in Indianapolis to avoid the other shipping fees.I went in to pick up the suits. Come to find out that only one groom has paid the balance. It was only fair that I could not take all the suits without them being paid. Instead of painfully watching them call each of my groomsmen to ask for their money, I decided to pay the $946.52 out of my own pocket. I asked them how my groomsmen are prompted to pay the balance. Apparently there is no prompt to pay in full! They told me they could handle an out of state wedding. They were wrong.

My wife and future sister in law and wedding party, went to look for bridesmaids dress and was told, "They can go upstairs to look, but to absolutely don't touch anything." Overpriced and rude. WAY OVERPRICED.

My daughter found her prom dress here and it was absolutely stunning on her. However it was very expensive. Her dress hadn't even been put out on the floor yet and wasn't priced when it caught her eye. She was so in love and it looked so pretty so it was hard to say no. To give you an idea of the cost it was a little less than 400. I think that's ridiculous for a prom dress...and because of the pandemic they only hosted a dinner. No dancing! Best part...they served BBQ...lol! I mean, I know I'd wear a 400 dollar dress to eat BBQ!

We had looked all over Louisville for a Winter Ball formal. The staff at a Formal Affair went well over what I had expected helping my daughter feel beautiful. The selection of dresses was amazing.

Not very helpful. I've rented formal wear from a lot of places. This by far was bad experience.

We were in Loiusville for a volleyball tourney and just decided on a whim to shop prom dresses. My daughter is tall and has an athletic build so we were clueless where to start. One of the associates devoted her time to us. She hooked us up with various sizes and styles, zipped and laced and got all the dresses out of and back in the bags. My daughter loved the first dress she tried on and though we went to other places this weekend, we ended up going back for the dress as nothing compared. Would recommend this place to anyone :)

We were out looking for prom dresses for my twin daughters. The young ladies helping my daughters were super nice.and So patient and very kind. We tried on quite a few dresses. They went out of their way to help. They were very knowledgeable about what they had in the store also. It was very appreciated. We found one dress. One to go. Thank you!!!

Great customer service. Came in to get fitted for the tux I'll be wearing for my best friends wedding. Was easy in and out. I did notice that it was a bank before. They turned the vault into a 360 mirror. Very well use of a vault. I thought it was neat. Now if you don't know where this place is. You will drive right past it. Why do I say that? Because I drove right past it. They need maybe some neon lights up or something that makes it stand out just a little. But that's just me.

I know no one expected covid or prom to be cancelled. But to have a dress in layaway and already paid over 50% of the cost and no money back and no dress. I called and left 3 messages in April and May. I was not wanting a refund but I was going to finish paying and retrieve the dress so I was not at a loss. I received no call back. Will not have my business again. Very disappointed!
