I had an amazing experience with Eric and the whole team at Gerber Collision. A tree fell on my car on 10/29. As you can imagine it was a pretty stressful experience, but from the start they were very transparent on what to expect so I was able to prepare accordingly with my insurance and a rental company. My car was completed a week earlier than projected (would’ve been done sooner if the tow company didn’t hold my car for ransom for three days, but that’s for another review.) I received bi-weekly updates via text and everyone on the team was available to answer questions anytime I called. I heard that they changed management recently and it’s evident that customer service and experience is their top priority.

Great experience overall with my 2022 Dodge Challenger. The shop was very informative and kept me up to date on the completion timeline. I would recommend to others needing their service.

My husbands truck has been there for almost 2 weeks, after waiting for 5- 6 weeks after estimate . No communication at all with us , my husband had to go in person today. They tell him they’re waiting on parts. So frustrating. What’s the point of the estimate ? Not to figure out what parts are needed?Manager refused to talk to him .Service: General repairs & maintenance

This collision repair store is a disaster. my insurance company made me use them to ensure speedy processing but I've never dealt with a company that was this shoddy about communication. I have a Kia and they had trouble getting parts, which was understandable, but they never returned calls, never gave me promised updates. Eventually the sent the car home when I could drive it, but there were still fixes it needed. they were supposed to s3nd someone to pair my new keys to the locks; no one ever came. It's been over 5 weeks now of me leaving messages. No one returns calls. So, the repairs my insurance paid forage still incomplete

Trip 1, made an appointment through insurance and I told them it was for Hail Damage. Trip 2, got there 1/2 hour early and sat there for an hour before they got me for the estimate. On the way walking to the car with the employee he proceeded to tell me they won’t do hail damage work, something they would have known about even before I made my first trip because the insurance company sent the claim info to them before they would make the appointment for the estimate. It is there prerogative not to do that type of work but cumulatively wasting 2 hours of my time and 2 trips to tell me they don’t do that when they knew prior is unacceptable. I should have been told when I made my first trip for the appointment, that would have been acceptable.

Worst service ever. Didn't work on my car for 2 months, ignored my daily calls for a month. I was paid no attention until I showed up in person. GM informed me he had ok'd other cars coming in to be serviced and released before mine...no explanation why. Voicemail is full and they never call back. Better to go somewhere else.Upon bringing my car back I was promised a daily update, getting things fixed, and a reimbursement for my deductible and some other charges. I did not receive updates, and had to call in to find out that my car was ready. They did not have an update for my reimbursement. I left the car with 0 mi on the odometer and a full tank of gas - when I received it back there were 70 mi on the odometer and 1/4 tank of gas, with no explanation why. They also did not complete the repairs as requested. Now, my emails are blocked from the estimator and I haven't heard anything in 2 weeks.I have reached out to corporate office twice via email and their online contact form, but still haven't heard anything. I would love for the owner to contact me directly, and not simply reply to my post.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My SUV was dropped off on the 10th. They told us 3-4 days which sounded reasonable. Then they told us another week, so we had to make plans to get a rental and be an unexpected week without our SUV. Then when we checked on a pick up day, they added yet another week......the first time they added a week we attempted to cancel the whole thing and just live with the giant scratch that they were helping with but they said the SUV was taken apart and they could not get it back to us. So we felt like we had to agree to whatever they were telling.I totally get that everyone is short staffed, but hopefully this helps anyone who is considering getting anything cosmetic done. Reconsider if you don't have a rental covered in your insurance or if you can't be without your car for 3 weeks.Communication is key and the reason I only left 2 stars is because we had to constantly call to get an update and be told it was going to be longer and longer and longer. Had someone picked up the phone to explain the situation to us, that would have made all the difference.

My faith has been restored in humanity today thanks to the amazing team at Gerber! My insurance company had chosen to do 2 separate claims under this repair and upon pick up I was informed my “out of pocket expenses” Would be double. Money I did not have. Regardless of it being my insurance company’s fault, Gerber helped me out to keep me satisfied. On top of the excellent customer service the quality of work was there as well. My vehicle was repaired and brought to a competition level of quality, far surpassing my expectations.Gerber has 100 percent gained a life long customer and a life time of recommendations to them as well!Thank you!- Jonathan B.Services: Body & Trim

Be careful to trust this place, it is sketchy, slow, and you might be left with unfinished job.Someone in this place was scavenging through the car including the compartments instead of fixing my bumper and other exterior cosmetic work. I always say, if you do something, at least be good at it, no matter what, so it was not even discreet, instead left items displaced everywhere in the scavenging process then added few surprises like extra garbage, and cigarettes buds. Contrary to the purpose of this place, just left the car disheveled instead of pretty. They also requested my car so early then kept it for months, leaving me stranded sometime, for a bumper. The put a cherry on top by not finishing the job requested then only made excuses for all things afterward.Positives? No blood or body left in the trunk. Choose wisely.

This is in the old Bill escorn building I used to work at back in '97. Although they are extremely busy and anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks out just to be able to get you a quote for an insurance claim once I was actually there I didn't even spend 10 minutes there. When I arrived I called and let them know I was inside and almost immediately the person doing the estimate came and did it. I had the estimate the following day. I hope your experience is just like that but I'm not certain it would be. I couldn't see any reason that they took 2 months to get me to sit in that waiting room waiting on them. I do have to say that in my very limited experience it wasn't bad

This place really gave me the run around while I was waiting for my car to be repaired. I was repeatedly told that the parts needed for my repairs were on "back order", until I asked for a list of vendors the shop uses. "Magically", the parts needed just so happened to be in the shop. My car was in the shop so long, my tags expired. Staff ransacked my glove compartments, (looking for things to steal obviously). Cigarette butt was found in my cupholder as well. Being a non-smoker, this was an extremely offensive find. White paint marks were left in my interior. Absolutely disgusting, and disrespectful. Do better.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had an appointment over a month ago, I get there and they tell me they can't see me until Friday (so what's the point of scheduling an appointment?) Friday comes, the guy takes pictures of my damage, which took all of 30 seconds. He told me I'd receive an estimate the next Monday. It's been 3 weeks since I've gone in and haven't heard anything from them.

Company seems extremely disorganized. No-one answered the phone when I called multiple times so I decided to just go in person to schedule an estimate since it is so close to home. They could not give me an estimate anytime in the forseeable future, and was told it would be a minimum of thirty- forty five days to get one because of no help. Worker seemed frazzled and bothered. Went to a Reputable shop not too far from Middletown and was promised one within the week. I suggest another body shop as this is not what Etscorn's used to be at all. Not sure how they are in business.

I thank them for holding my car until I could get with the insurance company about total on it
