As others have pointed out in their reviews, James is the best. He is very good at what he does, and he is a pleasure to talk to. I'm not exactly sure how long I've been going to Dane's Salon, but it's definitely been over 10 years. Since it is just James doing hair, it is a quiet and relaxing place. He takes cleanliness very seriously. Sometimes parking can be a bit challenging, but that is the nature of being a business on Barret Ave. I now have my mother and my fiancé going to Dane's Salon. They are both very happy with James' work as well. Highly Recommend!

James is amazing ?. He is very polite and professional. He had great conversation the entire session.This was the first time I've went to a different stylist in over 10 years. I showed James a few pictures of the cut and color I wanted and he delivered. I will definitely be back in for touch ups. Everyone loved my hair especially the layered cut.I have natural blonde hair but I asked for blonde highlights and red peek aboo lowlights. James was fast and very informative, as well as talented.The shop is small and cozy. It definitely has a laid back home feel. While there you feel as if everything is focused on you and it really is.Services: Shampoo & conditioning

I am so glad I found him James is the greatest Hair designer and the greatest friend. The 1st time I met him he had me with his shampoo head massage they are AmazingI promise you ladies and gentlemen you will not be sorry that you went to this place it's absolutely wonderful . I would give James 10 stars if I couldAnd his prices are cheap. Go see James I promise you are not go anywhere else

It's been 15 years since I began visiting James at Danes salon. I discovered him and have not/ will not go anywhere else for a variety of reasons from quality to affordability. To begin, you must realize that I am not a Louisville local. My husband is from Louisville. Needless to say I I discovered James the first time I came to visit and did so every time after. Even when we lived in Texas and Florida, I would always schedule an apt to see James when I visited. Fast forward a few years and now we live in Louisville. Danes salon is down the street and I will still NEVER leave. He is kind, caring, compassionate, and the salon is ALWAYS extremely clean. He is great with hairstyles, gives great cuts, and James is a phenomenal colorist. When I am out in the world people who notice a recent haircut or color always ask me where I went and how affordable was it. I am happy to say that James is both conveniently located and affordably priced. He is, and always will be the best in my eyes. Go visit him, give him the opportunity to make you feel beautiful and you will never want to go anywhere else either

I am so very happy I decided to get my hair done here! James is amazing! He's kind,polite and is great at what he does! I got my hair trimmed and James did a wonderful job with my highlights! I told James that he is stuck with me from here on out. James is the only one that will be doing my hair from here on out! Thank you for doing an amazing job!!
