I ordered a bouquet for a dance. Some of the roses looked dead. I pointed it out to the woman behind the counter and she simply said that the flowers had touched the refrigerator and that's why they looked dead. Unacceptable. I have shopped there for years and I'm completely disappointed. Will never order flowers there again.

My first visit to Colonial Designs, a shop I'd not be familiar with until today. My friend requested we stop by because he'd been given a gift card that hadn't been used with the craze of the pandemic. Unfortunately the certificate that he had wasn't overly clear and the shop couldn't look up his credit. That was disappointing. The shop is very large! Several rooms hold furniture, home decor, artwork, ladies clothing and accessories. We're in the holiday season so they also had up trees and decorations for sale, especially items you could use to trim the tree and establish a theme. A few live houseplants were sprinkled throughout the store. Until reading the reviews I was not aware they are a florist. This wasn't obvious browsing the space. I appreciated several bright colors throughout the store. The pieces are upscale look, but a bit more dated than I prefer. Private parking lot available. Limited spaces, and be careful backing in and out of spaces.

I popped in to inquire about some furniture I saw through their window. There were 4 clerks behind the counter and every one of them stared hostilely at me before one finally deigned to ask, in a snotty tone, if I needed something. Apparently I did not look like their preferred type of client as I was casually dressed. The nasty arrogance and condescending nature of these sales clerks made me vow to never do business with them. I'm sure they thought I can't afford their overpriced merchandise, but they're wrong. I can but I never will. I will tell everyone I know not to patronize their shop. I will spend my money in places where people are kind and considerate and welcoming when I walk through their door, NOT where the workers are arrogant, pretentious jerks.

My husband bought me this bouquet for Valentine’s Day and it’s pretty; however, he specifically asked them for ranunculus and called ahead to make sure that they had some (they said they did). When he arrived, they handed him these very obvious roses and they told him they were ranunculus ??? My husband didn’t know any better so he paid for them and left but I’m just disappointed that either 1) they lied to my husband about what he was purchasing OR 2) they have no idea what they’re selling people. Either one is awful considering it’s a florist that charged him $40 for the wrong item.

Went in this long standing Louisville Local Shop for flowers and came out with some lovely things. Plan on spending about an hour looking at all the traditional furnishings. ALSO A GREAT PLACE FOR: Gifts , Clothing, Ahrtwork, and Furniture, Candles and much more. My flowers have lasted foever.

This florist is a family favorite! Always beautiful! The one time I received flowers and unfortunately didn't last but a day, I have them a call and let them know. The woman on the phone was very nice and understanding. She had a new arrangement sent out that day. I was beautiful and smelled heavenly! I am happy to say these flowers lasted a week and a half. I realize sometimes these things happen and Colonial Designs stepped up! Thank you CD!
