I bought a Ford Edge from this CarMax 4 months ago and I would recommend it and do it the same way again. The salesperson was helpful but not at all pushy. I paid cash and that was totally fine. They also handle all the registration, which was complicated in my case since I didn‘t have a US drivers license. Nonetheless they figured it out and made it easy for me.Car also is in good condition and I wanted to wait a few months before writing a review to double check.Overall, you definitely pay a small premium compared to some other dealerships, but in my opinion it is worth it. No negotiating, no being pushed to use their financing, and a 30 day money back guarantee - no questions asked.

We reserved a vehicle that needed to be brought to Louisville Kentucky which took quite a long time. When it arrived in Louisville we waited five or six days to be able to see it because of it needing inspection. When we arrive to see the vehicle it had not been cleaned or detailed even though it had been sitting on the lot for 6 days. Unfortunately it took over the 30 days allowed for us to find out that there were little ridiculous things with the vehicle that should have been repaired. It seemed as if everyone was too busy or that the location was understaffed. People I know had recommended purchasing a vehicle through CarMax and so I felt like it should be a wonderful process however I truly feel like there was no inspection done to the vehicle and was told that the vehicle was supposed to be inspected at its original location so Louisville didn't feel the need to inspect it when they got it.

In a frustrating turn of events, my father and I found ourselves spending the majority of our day in Louisville on January 31, 2024. We had scheduled a vital appointment at 9:30 a.m. to have our car repaired, as we had wisely purchased an extended warranty following a previous unpleasant encounter with another vehicle. After arriving and dropping off our car, my father suggested we peruse the current selection of cars, considering our son would be in the market for one in a few months. We dedicated roughly an hour to this endeavor before returning to the service department. Seeking an update on the status of our car, we approached the service agent stationed at the front desk. He assured us he would be back in a mere five minutes. However, minutes stretched into an agonizing wait, and before long, the desk service agent attended to another guest before addressing our concerns. We were left perplexed, wondering what justified scheduling a 9:30 a.m. appointment if we were to be surpassed by others already waiting. Much to our dismay, we were informed that our car would not be attended to until 1-1:30 p.m., as the technician was conveniently on a lunch break. Assured that we would receive a phone call when our vehicle was ready, we impatiently waited for any sign of progress. Regrettably, the desk service agent failed to return after a frustrating wait of 10-15 minutes. Frustrations grew, and feeling utterly neglected, we ultimately made the decision to leave. After investing a whopping two hours of our day at the service department, we encountered a dismissive service manager named Kim Davis who offered no assistance whatsoever. Incredibly, she claimed that approval for the warranty we had obtained was still pending, urging us to reschedule our appointment for a later date. This arrangement meant we would incur additional expenses in gas, time, and toll fees just to return to the service department. Disillusioned by the lack of progress, we decided to consult someone who has no affiliation with the service department: a salesperson named Daniel, who had sold us the car. Despite his absence of direct involvement in the service department, Daniel suggested we take our vehicle to the manufacturing dealerships, assuring us of their efficiency. In conclusion, it is with great disappointment that I would give the service department a rating of 0 out of 5 stars if given the opportunity. I strongly advise against bringing your car to this establishment if you expect to drive it back home later in the day. Our experience serves as a cautionary tale, one best heeded to spare others from the frustrations that befell us.

Finding the right car for me was so easy. There was no "sales" pressure at any point in the process. All of the people I interacted with were supportive and kind. It made the process so easy and smooth for me.

SO happy with the car buying experience here. It was unbelievably easy. Shout out to Aydelis for next level customer service. She made the process stress free. I recommend this place and will be back for my next car purchase for sure.

Dani C. and Omar made my car buying process go very smoothly! The process of reserving, test driving, and financing was straightforward. CarMax didn't try to play games with me. Dani C. did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. He answered all of my questions and concerns. I didn't feel pressured that he was just trying to close a deal. He was knowledgeable and helped me every step of the way. I expected the car buying process to be a chore, but it was actually enjoyable! For a used vehicle, the financing interest rate was reasonable and one reason I went with CarMax. I love my new Jeep Wrangler! CarMax even provided my first duck! The one criticism I have is with Corporate CarMax. I like being able to see any flaw areas pointed out on the vehicle online. But CarMax will only do that with dents or scratches/imperfections larger than 6 inches. I noticed a few chips on the passenger door hinge and some chips in the grill that would have been good to see ahead of time, but was noticed during test drive. One more thing: they will call you relentlessly to do a hard pull on your credit and express pick up. Don't finance a vehicle until you test drive in person! That is just common sense. I did a soft pull for a pre-qualification ahead of time then waited until the test drive to purchase the vehicle. All in all, I would definitely recommend CarMax Louisville for car buying!

Zach Henry was excellent at communication and customer service! I would see him again to purchase a car. I was disappointed to see that the car I chose had some unreported damage to the paint and front passenger panel by the hood and door. This was not listed on the CarFax and it was not listed on the Car Max website listing for the car.
