“As a new artist, I had many supply questions that the employees were amazing in helping me. It is clear they are artists as well. The selection is unlike anything else!”
“I recently started throwing pottery and wanted to purchase supplies from a small business. I browsed the KY Mudworks website a couple times, but preferred being able to look at glazes in person before buying, so when I found out I'd be visiting Louisville for an event, I made sure I would have some time to stop in to the store while I was in the area. I was the only customer in the store when I arrived, and the employee at the counter let me browse, but was there to answer questions and look up pricing when I needed her. She also offered to hold my selections at the counter while I continued browsing. They have such a wide variety of glazes and tools at various price points too. They were also consistent about having test tiles on different types of clay for each glaze, which was exactly why I wanted to visit in person. I picked up a good amount of items and made notes of what I'd like to purchase next time, likely online. Loved my experience here and will definitely keep buying from this store.”
“Patricia, in the fabric department, was so sweet to help me, even though she seemed very busy. After telling her that I wanted to make a little guy who is deaf and blind a sensory blanket, Patricia gave me her full attention!!
That, my friend, is real customer service!!!
Thank you, Patricia and Hobby Lobby!”
“Overall, the store was very well organized and very clean. The staff there s well was knowledgeable where most of the products we're at in the store and we're very friendly as well.”
“What a great experience. I bought 2 big frames and needed more. The gentleman in the framing department gave me the numbers to the other stores so I could call amd another gentleman took the frames up front for me as they were heavy and big for the carts. Awesome group of people and the store is always neat, clean, and organized when I go in there. Which might be pretty often??”
“I don't frequent craft stores very often since I discovered online shopping. When I do go to an actual store, it's usually Michael's but my sister favors Hobby Lobby so I went there with her.
The store was clean and well organized. It's much easier to find something here than at Michael's, which always seems so crowded. Michaels definitely carries more products than Hobby Lobby though, so that's probably why.
The store had a smaller bead section, but the quality of these beads are almost all top-grade. Especially (most) of the semiprecious gem beads. I didn't even plan to get beads but I got a small string of pearls for a very good price. They carry rub-on transfers which I've never been able to find inside other craft stores.
Also the storage and organization section I know I'll be going back to. I didn't have the trunk space for everything I wanted from right there.
I feel like there could have been more variety. A couple crafts that I love were missing from the store. I know they carry the supplies because I've seen it online.
The store is very clean and set up well. The shelves were stocked well and things were where they're supposed to be. I was quite impressed with Hobby Lobby and I will be going back again!”

4600 Shelbyville Rd Ste 280, Louisville“Since I don't craft (well, aside from beer), I can only review this from the point of view of a husband who takes his sewing/knitting/quilting/embroidering wife to Joann when she's got a project in the works. This location is enormous and generally well stocked. Some times "well stocked" equates to "stuff in the aisles or crammed near an endcap", but it's with the goal of making as much product available and as easy to find as possible.Wifey is usually able to find what she needs (or a reasonable facsimile) at this store and it's not uncommon for us to spend several/many hours trying to find that fabric or crafty doo-dad that will make her craftery awesome. My lot in life in these cases is to provide some creative in put, help find the perfect fabric or accessory, and to push the cart. The staff here is 100% helpful. We've been here many times and it doesn't matter who you ask, they know where it is or what you need. Since she's on the Joann mailing list she's always got coupons on her phone for something or other. Quite often what she's looking for is on sale, so #BONUS.There are aisles in this store that I have never been down. Seriously. Picture framing? Buttons and Bobbins? Upholstery? Wood crafting? Yea, none of that's me. If you're a crafterer (I make up a lot of words), this place is 100% what you need.”
“Best art store I've ever been to. Like THE best. Nothing can top this place. They have everything you need, and if they don't? They'll get it for you.”
