“I am looking for a place that's quiet and peaceful, and would allow me some time to truly relax in nature away from the busy city noise after a long day. I want it to feel like home so I can rewind and enjoy some nature. I have driven all around Louisville to look at so many different apartment complexes, old and new, and this place is a real gem.
This is almost the only apartment complex that's a decent distance from both highways, main roads, railway, etc. and also gas station, busy shopping areas. Many apartments are close to roads and the noise and air pollution that it brings.
The people in the office manage it not like the corporate business but like family. They greet you, always have snacks and drinks, will get packages for you, and are ready to have a nice little conversation and they show that they care about you. They go out of the way to help you, and maintenance is always prompt and it's clear that they are a great team/family. They have a beautiful family room and you can go sit there and enjoy a book next to the fireplace with seasonal decorations. They also have pretty landscaping flowers trees different plants. At Christmas they host a decorating contest and the winners get some period of free rent.
There's a small lake with an upwards running fountain, lots of green, and some nature to enjoy. The Sam's club and Yoki Buffet just up the street are great, and there are so many food places, and so many shopping places. 5 minutes to Urgent care. About same distance to 2 Krogers.
They are reasonable: if you want washer dryer in unit, their price is more reasonable than what the newer apartments charges. Also there's only like a 50 or 100 bump for short term leases, other apartments charge like 300 more and some use dynamic pricing with unpredictable prices.
Downside is they are old-school, only accept check for rent, an electronic system would be nice. Overall a real nice, quiet, family like place, I remember running into like 2 others I liked that were also reasonable apartments but they have a long waiting list.”

“I lived in Germantown Mill Lofts for three years, and it was amazing. The staff at GML really makes you feel like you are right at home from the moment you first walk in. Melissa set us up with our apartment and if we ever needed anything Melissa and the team, we always there right away to make us feel welcomed and put us at ease. I would recommend this property to anybody looking for new urbanism living experience with a built in community led by a tremendous front-office staff. It's one of the most unique spots in Louisville, KY and one of the only places where you can walk to whatever you need including the grocery stores, food, bars, convenience stores, coffee shops, etc. It's in a prime location close to UofL, with a great night life, it's in the city, and the interstate.”

“I wasn’t sure what to expect when I moved in but I definitely didn’t expect to be this impressed right off the bat. I ran into a handful of issues. The washer wasn’t working right the kitchen sink was draining slow, and a couple of outlets in the kitchen weren’t working at all.
I figured this would turn into a long drawn out process involving different contractors, a washer guy, a plumber, and maybe even an electrician. But instead, I got Larry. I’ve seen Larry around the grounds on his golf cart, cleaning up, and even messing with the pool, but I didn’t know he was also the maintenance man.
Larry showed up right away and handled everything himself like it was second nature. He even had all the parts and tools with him, like he knew exactly what the issue could be. He diagnosed the washer issue almost immediately and had it running in no time. Then he moved on to the sink, cleared the clog, and even fixed the slope in the pipe underneath. He opened up the electrical panel, found a faulty breaker, and replaced it right there on the spot. Oh, and he even programmed the garage door opener, which was a game changer.
He didn’t just patch it up you can tell Larry takes pride in doing things the right way. He explained what he was fixing, why it happened, and even gave me a few tips on how to prevent issues in the future. Super knowledgeable, very respectful, and skilled.
it gives me a ton of peace of mind knowing someone like Larry is around. He saved what could’ve been a frustrating experience and turned it into a great first impression. Huge thank you to Mr. Larry!”

“This is my 4th year living here and I have to say.... I LOVE this community. Following are some reasons why.
- The location is fantastic! Close to Norton Commons, close to the paddock shops and close to the highway. Yes, I said the highway and my building is next to the highway and I hardly ever hear it.
- The community is not giant and I love that.
- I have a one bedroom unit and it's a really nice size.
- The pool is great. Exceptionally clean and never packed.
- My neighbors are all very nice and I've made friends with others in other buildings.
- The staff is incredible. Tammy, the property Manager is truly top notch. Extremely responsive and extremely kind. I can't imagine what it is like to deal with this many people and their demands/opinions/expectations (this coming from an event planner) but she is always wonderful to interact with.
- This winter was the worst winter I remember since I have lived in Kentucky (almost 14 years now) and they handled the snow/ice storm like a champ. They literally were removing the snow, putting it in a dump truck and removing it from the property.
- I didn't have a shovel to dig my car out, they let me use theirs.
- I emailed that I couldn't get into my mailbox... fixed the same day.
- I emailed that my dishwasher didn't work.... replaced the next day.
All-in-all just a wonderful community and wonderful staff. I have urged many people who are looking for a home to look here first.

“I have been in this community for almost 3 years and though it has had some rough times, it has improved so much with the new staff and management! Buildings are cleaner, trash is non existent, maintenance is top notch, and the price is unbeatable. I feel cared for and my wife tells me repeatedly how happy she is here. Vergial is a seriously cool guy and I feel welcome to stop by the office to just say hi which really helps this place feel like a home rather than a renting business. If you’re considering an apartment here, just do it before they run out. Because as far as I can tell, the heart of Covington By The Lake has been restored to its former glory.”

“After living here for 4 years, I sadly had to move out due to a relocation for work. I was devastated, as I absolutely loved living here.
East chase provided a beautiful environment with plenty of amenities such as, two pools, and a gym on the grounds, sometimes they even had food trucks.
Anytime I had a maintenance request, they were there within a day if not hours after submitting a request. They were thorough, and always professional. Really cannot say enough good things about this apartment complex.
If I could've stayed here longer, I would have. It was the perfect home for my pup and I, and I hold fond memories here.
My only complaint was sometimes the neighbors child was loud, often stomping up and down the stairs, slamming the door enough to shake my place, yelling with his friends, or bouncing a basketball next to my door, but it was never enough to complain. (I also hate confrontation!) The children also really need to be careful and more observant of cars. But, this isn't something that is the complex's fault, they sent many emails reminding residents of the rules. :)”
“Had a slight issue with my rent price increasing from the day I applied (paying application fees & administrative fees totaling $225) to the day I moved in. I was very unhappy about that and asked the property manager about it twice before actually moving forward with my lease. I thought that seemed very strange that they could not accommodate that initial price for me. I was urgently trying to move from a domestic situation. So I moved forward. I called and left 2 voicemails before actually getting a move in date from them. The lady who helped me was from out of town helping out, Mrs. Kathy Rodriguez. She was very helpful, very friendly and gave me a walk thru of my unit before I signed the lease and afterwards. She even gave me a little gift bag on move in day. So far I haven’t had any issues. Minor pest issue that was handled immediately. Minor thermostat issue that was handled immediately. My neighbors are quiet and very friendly when seen. My unit was fully remodeled with brand new appliances and cabinets. It is dog friendly around the complex. I have no complaints. I’m very pleased with my rental property.”
