Awesome informative tour that went over not only the background of the alcohol but also design details of the campus. I also enjoyed being able to buy my own bottle to dip in the wax as a souvenir. I would come here again

I loved our tour guide, King is her last name, she was awesome!! What I didn’t like was that I was told I was automatically charged 20% tip on a cocktail I ordered upon receiving receipt. The blonde with the long hair that made my drink wasn’t pleasant and seemed annoyed when I went to order my drink… extremely poor customer service….and that’s when I have a problem tipping 20%!!

The tour was good and the grounds were really nice. However, the best experience came from the bar. They had creative cocktails that were by far the best I had during my visit of at least 20 distilleries along the bourbon trail. I wanted to slowly make my way through all of them.

Excellent experience. The guide was knowledgeable the distillery has plenty of history and art. You get a tasting, and the location has plenty of distillery-specific bottles and some limited bottles to buy and dip in wax yourself. If you are Active Military, the tour is at no cost.

Embarking on the Makers Mark distillery tour proved to be an enriching experience, offering a delightful blend of history, craftsmanship, and, of course, exquisite bourbon. His attention to detail and willingness to answer any question further enhanced our understanding and appreciation of the artistry behind Makers Mark. One of the highlights of the tour was the hands-on experience of dipping our own bottles into Makers Mark’s signature red wax seal—a cherished tradition that encapsulates the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and personalization. Jeremy’s guidance ensured that each guest felt empowered to create their own unique bottle, fostering a sense of connection to the brand’s heritage. In addition to the immersive tour, the tasting session offered a delightful showcase of Makers Mark’s distinct flavor profile, allowing us to savor the culmination of centuries-old techniques and modern innovation. Chet was a fantastic tour guide! I really enjoyed The Remarkable Experience, which is definitely worth the money, having a small group and exploring parts of the distillery campus not everyone gets to see. The stained glass and art around campus were beautiful, and so were the lake and private tasting rooms. Chet answered all our questions, and we looked up a few he didn't know off hand. Stopping at the gift shop mid tour was fun, and we were all able to dip bottles before continuing (the gift shop would have been closed since our tour was the last one and 2.5 hours) Ethan joined us for the last part of the tour going around the see the animals and lake. His insight as the resident grounds/animal caretaker was fantastic. This trip to Makers prompted us to take advantage of the ambassador program, I'm excited to come back in the near and far future. We were sad the restaurant was closed, but i hope to enjoy some food next time we visit. Everyone said it's an amazing and rotating menu/always changing.Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it! Next time, we will look into the Oak Experience or Wax/Honey one with Ethan!

Cool plant, beautiful areaThe excursion lasted almost an hour and a half, quite primitive, but interestingI liked that after it you can buy a bottle of Bourbon and order it with wax yourself. You only pay for the bottle, but the prices are higher than in retail stores. The tasting was good, 4 types of completely different Bourbon
