“The horse park is the mother ship for horse people, with not only a focus on the thoroughbred race horse but it's also home to the USEF, USHJA and the USDF, all are discipline specific to different types of riding. The thoroughbred area is moving with statues and burials of famous race horses. You can trail ride the property as well as visit many different breeds of horses. It's a lot of fun!”

A note for those who need accessible parking, you should be aware that during events, the marked accessible parking spots closest to the venue are blocked and used for vendors or others working the events. There are a few accessible spots further away in the parking lot of the office building next door.”
“This is the perfect venue for a classic Kentucky wedding! The entire indoor/outdoor space is well-kept and absolutely stunning, and Rosie and Broussard were the most wonderful, kind hosts. I cannot imagine hosting my wedding anywhere else!”

“We visited the downtown arts center which is a great public space. It is owned and operated by the city and allows for local artists to have space to sell items on commission and there is no admission fee. Upstairs it has a children's gallery that features local children's artwork from the public school system. The downtown art center is also on the gallery hop and is currently renovating space to allow for more visitors and more exhibit space. We definitely recommend stopping by if you are looking for a relaxing quiet space to reflect and see local artists.

“We truly could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day, and so much of that is thanks to The Carrick House and Lundy’s catering. From the moment we began the process of planning our wedding, everything was seamless and exceeded every expectation we had.
The entire team was professional, organized, and incredibly kind. Ashlyn and Mike were especially a pleasure to work with— they were responsive, proactive, and genuinely invested in making our day special. It was clear that everyone working behind the scenes truly cared. We never once felt stressed or unsure — they handled everything with grace and expertise, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy every moment.
Everyone raved about the beauty of the venue and the delicious food! Every bite, from cocktail hour to the main course to the late night snack, was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. It genuinely felt like a fine dining experience.
The guest experience was top-tier. The team checked in on us and our guests during the reception to make sure everything was to our liking. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to make our friends and family feel welcome, comfortable, and celebrated. “Four stars of FUN but the board is NEVER WORKING properly I feel like that is the best part after finishing a race with a group of friends to see the stats up on the board. Hopefully they get this fixed”
“Both of my children have loved ArtPlay since they were 15 months and now are 4.5 & 5.5. They love the free play aspect. They are completely different children and it speaks to both of them. One is more sensory based and it’s the only place he gets the calm atmosphere he strives for and the other is more product based. Being in that class has carried over to our home life the children are constantly wanting to recreate an activity we did there. ArtPlay introduced our children to art in a way of exploration and imagination. We continue to go weekly throughout the year. They also have helped with so many birthday gifts with creative bags of art to create. Can’t say enough about Jarah or her place we are fortunate to have ArtPlay in our community!”
“Berva is an amazing horse woman, knowledgeable and fun friendly and admirable cares deeply for her horses and loves to share the passion and knowledge that she has about them along with the history of the white thoroughbreds. Definitely put this on your list of places to visit if you are in or near Lexington”
“My daughter had her graduation there & it was a quaint little place.
It's very typical of an older movie theater. I got a drink & a small bag of popcorn which was reasonably priced. The only downside was the parking. There are very few parking spaces specifically for the theater, so the majority of us had to park on the sides of the street. Other than the parking, it was great!”

“I don't know who is saying that they serve alcohol here and yes they let teenagers in but is just a event for them and NO THEY ONLY SERVE SODA AND WATER !!! I know because I came wirh my niece just to see how it was and no it looks like is just a way for them to enjoy friend time ,dance and have a good time !!”

“Nice park with lots of amenities! We've been playing in kickball and softball leagues there for a decade, most recently have won Lexington Sports & Social Club's Fall 2020 softball league. The park itself has baseball, softball, basketball, a swimming pool, tennis courts, etc. And the "Loudon House" aka the castle, around which the park is situated houses the Lexington Art League Gallery. They have ongoing art exhibits throughout the year and studio space for artists as well. The gallery at the Loudon House also hosts all kinds of events throughout the year, including their fun First Friday parties each month, where they feature the art, of course, but also local bands and restaurant fare.”
“Great time but you really shouldn't put seating in the front of a heavy metal concert. That's super lame. Definitely kills the vibe watching all these old folks sitting in the front acting like they're being held against their will. You could tell it affected the morale of the bands.Nice place though.”
“Had my baby shower here after searching all over Lexington for venues! Everything was sky high and out of my budget! I called the number listed and was able to speak with someone right away and book RIGHT THEN! I booked the full catering that included decorations Nd food. When I arrived everything was set up and perfect. Way better than I expected for the price tbh. Me, my mom and fiancé were literally stunned when we walked in. It was so beautiful and exactly what I wanted and more. Plus the food was delivered about an hour into the party right when guest arrived so it was fresh. Definitely plan on having my sons 1st bday party when the time comes! Thanks again”

“This is our 2nd stay thid year. The roomd was clean and spacious. I like the suite style hotels because of the extra room and full size refrigerator.
The breakfast was good and I really like the yogurt bar and cut fruit. The waffles and cheese omelets were good, too. The hotel is within walking distance of Drakes, Applebee's, a Mexican restaurant and Starbucks. For coffee we drove east a few minutes and found a Leestown Coffee, a great local place.
Overall, it was quiet although we could hear people above us walking around at 11:30 at night. I wish hotel floors and doors were more soundproof. Staff were very nice and check in was quick.”

“Spent an hour and half here. My 7 y/o and I had an amazing time! Jacob and staff made the experience a day to remember. Everyone was enthusiastic, polite, and professional. We played multiple rounds of four different style games, and my son was able to swap and play with several different nerf guns. There’s an up charge to move up to a bigger gun, but it’s far more reasonable than I expected. Bring-your-own is an option to save a little, but definitely bring one that uses Nerf Rival balls. Ammo in the arena is plentiful, but the rival balls hold up much better than the foam darts. We drove an hour and half to get here and already plan on coming back at some point.”
