Duane was absolutely wonderful to work with at Value City! When picking out our furniture he was not pushy, let us take our time browsing, and we even left to go look at other furniture stores nearby in Lexington and came back to Duane for our dream brown leather couch! He left a lasting impression on us and we are grateful for his kindness and helpfulness through the sales process. We will definitely be back to work with him again in the future! Thanks again Duane!

Every time I go to value city to buy something I feel very comfortable shopping, what I like most is that they are not pressuring you to buy. The sellers are very friendly.

HELPFUL SERVICE, GREAT BUYING EXPERIENCE
Sean Stocker, the salesperson we worked with, is MEANT to work in furniture sales. My mom worked in the furniture business as well, and he’s the ideal salesperson in my view. He wasn’t pushy, he let us browse around, and he made himself available for us to come to him when we had questions & were ready to buy. He was knowledgeable about the products (we ended up going with the Big Softie couch), and he forewarned us about potential shipping delays so we weren’t caught off-guard. He compared deals with us to get us the most bang for our buck, and didn’t try to steer us toward one sofa or another—he gave us all relevant info so we could make an informed decision for ourselves.
Not only that, when we got home & remeasured our space, we had to make some changes to the pieces in our order. We called Sean and he helped us right away! Our order was edited promptly and our account credited same-day for the unnecessary piece.
The sales idea of “sell without ‘selling’” is exactly what Sean implemented. We will definitely be back to VCF! We are so excited to receive our sofa.
UPDATE: We ended up only having a 1 week shipping delay beyond our initial estimated delivery date! VCF communicated with us throughout the entire process and the delivery system & team were phenomenal. From beginning to end we have been pleased with our experience.

The delivery personnel were all polite and courteous. The issue is that the salesman Shawn told me the table I was buying was granite and it was marble and he also did NOT tell me that you can’t place ANYTHING hot or cold on the kitchen table. (Not sure who wants a table they can only eat room temp food at) When I called customer care they said the care instructions are listed on the website. The issue is I shopped in the store and didn’t know I was going to be lied to and sold a table I can’t even use! Customer care tried to charge me a 15% restocking fee to take back the fraudulent table I received. To top it all off I waited 2 full months to get the table only to not even be able to use it.
