Upon my visit, I was greeted warmly by the knowledgeable and amiable vendors who seemed genuinely passionate about their craft. Their willingness to share insights and expertise added an extra layer of charm to the already enchanting ambiance of the store. However, as with any experience, there exists the possibility of encountering a discordant note amidst the symphony of harmony. In this case, it was embodied by a woman with dark hair, presumably overseeing the operations of the establishment. In my years of traveling the world and living overseas I developed a love for Antiques. I understand and respect the effort it takes to acquire them and therefore understand pricing associated with higher end antique pieces. I have come to appreciate the delicate dance of negotiation and respect for the art of pricing as well. Thus, it was with a sense of reverence that I approached the task of making offers on several items. To my dismay, the woman in question swiftly dismissed my offers with a dismissive wave of her hand, without affording them the courtesy of consideration. Rather than presenting them to the vendor for their discernment, she appeared intent on extinguishing any possibility of negotiation.Despite her assurances to present our offers in our absence, upon our return, it became glaringly evident that no such effort had been made. Her demeanor, tinged with impatience and thinly veiled disdain, left an indelible mark on an otherwise pleasant visit. In conclusion, Thoroughbred Antiques is a charming store, however, it serves as a poignant reminder that even the most exquisite establishments can be tarnished by the actions of a single individual. As discerning patrons, it is incumbent upon us to exercise caution and selectivity in bestowing our patronage, ensuring that our experiences are as enriching as the treasures we seek to acquire. I would not recommend them due to the actions of this one individual.

Super fancy and super full of beautiful, unique items. They had the biggest collection of decanters and sterling silver serve wear I'd ever seen! They had mostly furniture, which I love to browse through. The upstairs had what looked like a fabric section. I hope they get new and interesting things in often so I can go again!

Jerry was very informative when I brought a painting to consign. He thought it might have special significance and he contacted an expert to look at it . I removed it from consignment and am having it restored. He gained nothing. He was just being generous and involved.

The dealers are all amazing, however the owner is anything but that. He needs to work on his people skills in a big way.
