Wow! If I could recommend to everyone planning a remodel or new build or freshening up colors, Martha would be my suggestion! Her top notch listening skills and solutions which seemed so effortless for her and impossible for me UNTIL I met her. What a gift on so many levels! Spot on advise! Can I offer more than 5 stars???

Quite possibly the worst customer service today at this store. I brought in a custom Sherwin Williams formula from a national blogger for a very popular door color (aqua grayish blue green). The associates recommended the proper exterior paint for me and promptly made my order, but didn’t put a sample smear on top. Once home, I opened the can and immediately knew it was very wrong. It was navy, about 10 shades too dark. I drive back to the store and told them I think there was a mistake with my order, they take it in the back, come back upfront and admit it wasn’t right and there was no way to fix it because the original formula is for an interior paint and they can’t make it in an exterior paint. Whaaaat? I accept that, and they suggest I talk to the “in house designer” a woman who hadn’t made a peep the whole time and was intently watching the UK game, confidently said, she can’t help me as my color was on my phone and she can’t help with an image on the phone. I’m not ignorant, I’m aware that an image on a screen isn’t going to be exact but she could have steered me in the direction of the correct tones, color strips, etc. she clearly didn’t want to be bothered. So I said, “don’t worry about it I’ll look myself”, and asked the associates for the colors used in a certain color, and he told me it would do me no good as a consumer to know because the colors don’t always make sense. I tried to explain I mix colors for a living and in fact it would make sense to me, but it fell upon deaf ears. At this point they clearly were sick of dealing with me, so I took my refund and went to Benjamin Moore and received top notch help and got a color almost exactly like I had originally wanted. Absolute waste of my time and energy

I have done business with this store for 12 years, and I have always experienced excellent service. Chris and Sam are truly professional, and know what experienced painters need and want. It’s a pleasure doing business with them, and I have no intent to ever taking my business elsewhere.

The reviews currently showing are 2 yrs and older. I went to the store today and my experience was not pleasant. He was passive aggressive and condescending. I think i know what my front door is made of and I also know that it has stain on it. I have a photo of it. He basically tried to tell me that i had no idea what i was talking about while another customer stood behind me. All the while he had a sneer on his face. I will never go back nor will i recommend anyone else go. I had basically the same type of experience in the nicholasville store yesterday. I have an idea where the attitudes come from… i so miss the customer service of the past. It was genuine.

My wife and I went to the shop on 2 different occasions. The sales associate remembered us, had our information at hand and could not have been more helpful! It was 1 of those rare excellent retail experiences!

My most recent purchase here was smooth and trouble free. I ordered over the phone and the order was picked up curbside. I love the Duration paint and the color selection.
