Booked through 3rd party Priceline for a five night stay for 2 family members going from San Diego to Kentucky. The first plane was delayed so they tried to call the hotel as suggested by airport that they would be later than check in. Tried to call for hours. They finally got new reservations and they said as long as you are here by midnight. Second plane was delayed. Again they tried to call and no answer for 4 different Numbers. I'm in California as they get on the second plane. I call and finally talk to new reservations. They say the reservations were cancelled? Location is closed. What the heck. It's almost midnight the family is getting off the plane and no place to stay. I finally hung up with the hotel and called Priceline. They said they were not made aware it was closed as they were trying to call them as well. What a disappointment in the Ramada. I will never ever use any of there hotels again.

The Ramada Inn in Lexington, KY was a good hotel to stay at for the price. Nothing fancy, but no complaints about the room or the service or the pricing. The pool was nice and no complaints there either. The location was easy to get to from the highway. Can't comment on the location in relation to other attractions in the area since I was just stopping for the night while traveling through.

It was really horrible. The rooms are very old and they had stains everywhere . Stains on the ceiling, the bathtub, and 3ven the comforters were dirty looking. The pools are both shut down, and the place is super sketchy. We had no room service come to our room, and there were loud noises in the hotel thru the day and night. People let their dogs walk around off leash in the hotel. The breakfast was pretty awful. The gym has like three workout things. Overall, if you need to crash for the night somewhere cheap, then this will do okay. This place looks like it was beautiful once upon time.. I know times have been hard, so it's probably just that. Also, the owner tried to get our vehicle towed, thinking we didn't have a room ig. We only stopped there to get to my mom, who was in the hospital and had to sleep for the night. Also, homeless people sleep in the trees that line up around the hotel. Also, maybe bring a door lock thing because our door was funky and only had one lock.. you also had to slam it to get it to shut.Rooms: Needs upgrades, and the AC in our room didn't really work and smelled like mold.Safety: Probably not the safestWalkability: Gas station and DG nearby

I am sitting in my room reading the horrible reviews, and yes, it is that bad. Door lock barely works, toilet seat is loose and barely flushed, tub is not draining, fire alarm missing off wall, etc. Have not seen bugs, yet.My stepson booked us here for Breyerfest (because he knows that I am “frugal”) so I am planning to stick it out for 4 nights and view it as a bonding experience. We are keeping a sense of humor about it…… so far, but it’s the first night. ?.We stuck it out for the four nights and, yes, there were some roaches in the bathroom. Also, in the bathroom, you could hear the woman next door swearing at her kids. We shall be upgrading next year.

This was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel had no AC, all the outside doors accessing the hotel were open/unlocked, there were birds stuck in the hotel and flying through the hallways. The staff did not have name tags or uniforms. There were random people walking around the hotel. The public bathrooms were dirty, tiles were chipping. This hotel has not elevator and is not ADA compliant. While I do not have a disability, I do have knee issues after a recent surgery and walking up and down several flights of stair without appropriate signage or direction from the staff, this was frustrating. I checked in around 3:30-4:00pm (check in was at 3:00pm) and my room was not ready. The room was changed 3 different times and we were assigned another dirty room. Due to timing, we had to leave the hotel to attend a function. We arrived back at the hotel around 12:30am, and we went to our assigned room and could not get into the room. We went back to the front desk and found that the room was assigned to another person. We were then assigned our 4th room. This room was dirty, the bolt on the door broken off, the TV was missing from the wall, the beds were unmade and unclean, there was something moldy in the microwave, and there was a bag of extra hotel supplies stored in our bathroom. There was also a lot of trash and dirty laundry in the hallways. We went back to the front desk and asked for a full refund. Without question, concern, or having any empathy for it being around 1:30am and having this horrible experience, the front desk said, "I can get you a refund". I have checked by bank statement, and I am being charged for the entire stay. This nightmare seems far from over. I will never do business with this company again. If I could give you a zero, I would.

The room they had for us was not cleaned (had a garbage can in the middle of the room) and then they told us there were no other available rooms. They found one, but there were cigarette burns on furniture and the whole place stinks of stale smoke. If it wasn’t 2:30am, we would have demanded our money back and found a different hotel or even slept in our car.

I have spent 30+ years in the hotel industry as I used to work for a Choice property. We decided to "step up" and try a Wyndham property. This was by far the worst place we've ever stayed. In the 70's, 80's it was probably amazing....today it needs torn down. It's apparent it NEVER gets cleaned. We stayed for 3 nights, the same soda can was sitting on the treadmill all 3 days. Neither pool are open and in fact they have a chain on the indoor pool doors. Upon entry to our room we noticed the carpet was wet by the AC unit (which I get does happen sometimes), the glass tray was missing from the microwave, the wallpaper was stapled to the wall but still coming off, the tile was missing on the wall behind the toilet (see pictures), the toilet looked like it had been ripped up and 2" of caulking used to seal around it. There were holes in the ceiling, we never once saw a maid, the breakfast was pathetic. They actually cut the donuts in half, served hard biscuits, juice machine didn't work, milk was watered down, no creamer for our coffee, no fruit so after one breakfast we decided never again. The desk clerk we had upon check in was very nice, that was a bright spot but we never saw her again. There is a Christmas ? tree covering up some wires in a mulched area. Above it the ceiling totally appears ready to collapse. I can't fathom that they could actually pass a Wyndham inspection. Back to a Choice property moving forward!DO NOT waste your time or hard earned money in this disgusting property!

Do not trust the photos of this hotel on the booking sites. The place has not been cleaned or updated since 1972. The lobby looks nice, and the staff was very friendly, but the rooms and overall conditions of the hotel are pretty awful. The rooms are very humid and musty, the carpet feels wet to the touch. I did not want to walk around without shoes on. Our bathroom was not as bad as I expected, but the toilet did not flush properly. There's paint peeling off the walls and ceiling, mystery stains, the fridge and microwave were disgusting. Outside, the side access doors are left unlocked so anyone can come in, there's trash everywhere, everything is just run down from neglect. Now, many of these reviews mention bugs. Thankfully, I did not see any in our room, but that is definitely a major concern given the state of everything else. Just save yourself the trouble and skip this one.

Stayed three nights for the railbird festival. Our room never had a working smoke detector even though we reported it every day and were told it would be installed. Hallways and room smelled of cigarettes. Our clean clothes which never left out bag smelled of smoke when we came home. Window in our room did not lock. Exterior side doors had keycard access but were never locked. Bathroom did not have a fan and was in need of repairs. Overall poor experience.Safety: Felt unsafe. Room did not have smoke detector. Window did not lock. Exterior hall doors were never locked and often proper open.

I checked in and was charged more than I ever had been for one night. When I asked why it was so much more, the lady told me it depended on the hour you check in. So I just went with that. I needed a room and had stayed there several times before. Then, immediately when I get settled in, problems started. The TV would not work...wouldn't even cone on. So I had to call and have someone come and fix it. I had brought some take out food with me as well as bought some snacks from the front desk location. I went to put my drink in the fridge and the fridge did not work at all! I turned it off, on, all the way uo, all the way down, nothing. Not to mention that it had the strangest foul odor!I went to start eating my food that I had set on the side table by the bed and saw a baby roach crawling over my bag of food! I was so disgusted that i didn't eat my food because i wasn't sure where all it had been crawling. I couldn't kill it or get a picture of it because it was so fast.At this point, I'm finished with this place. I figured I would at least use the restroom before leaving. Of course, there were hairs on the toilet seat as well as in the tub. The room looked as if it hadn't even been vacuumed.I gathered my belongings and went to check out. I asked for a refund. There was no manager. The lady reluctantly wrote down my issues and phone number. I haven't heard anything from them, and there have been no adjustments to the amount I paid. Will update if anything changes, but I won't be staying there anymore if nothing is done. I didn't even spend the night. Spent at most an hour there! Ridiculous.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Ramada Lexington, and I feel it is important to share my experience to prevent others from enduring the same ordeal. From the moment we arrived, we realized the toilet in one of the rooms was left clogged, with feces still inside. Upon complaining, we were told that the problem would be fixed the following day and were promised a discount for the inconvenience, as the hotel was fully booked and no alternative rooms were available.Next day, the problem was not fixed - with no notice from the hotel. Upon complaining a second time, we were shocked to learn that the room we were given should not have even been available in the first place as it was listed as condemned.Following this second complaint, we were finally given a different room, but it was well past 1 am when we were moved. While the new room was an improvement, the repeated inconveniences and lack of communication were unacceptable. The overall condition of the hotel was deplorable. The attached images I have shared clearly depict the appalling state of the rooms we encountered. One room had a broken toilet with a random stick, while the other room had hair and dried urine all over the toilet. It was evident that neither room had been adequately cleaned before our arrival. This complete disregard for cleanliness and basic maintenance is deeply concerning. The hotel had an unpleasant odor throughout, musty towels, and frequent noise disturbances, further contributing to our negative experience. These factors, combined with the other issues we faced, made for an extremely uncomfortable stay.During checkout, our concerns were not noted and completely ignored- we were charged the full price, with no mention of the promised discount. While I appreciate the apology I received from the hotel, it is important to note that the offered compensation of $69.99 is far from sufficient given the extent of the inconvenience. The hotel owner informed me that once you stay at this hotel for two nights, you are no longer able to receive a full refund. So, my advice to anyone who does choose to ignore the many negative reviews about this hotel and is presented with a far-below-quality experience - leave after night one. Had we not trusted that the hotel would take our concerns seriously during day two, we wouldn't have come back to the hotel so late. Had we not come back to the hotel so late, we would have simply driven the 6 hours back home.

Was in Lexington for the Railbird fest. Very poor condition, cleanliness is the worst I've ever encountered. By the pictures on the booking page, they were deceiving; I never expected such abysmal conditions. Too many issues to list. Original room assignment was in an uncleaned room, and the entire floor had smell of raw sewage due to a sewage backup into another room bathtub. Avoid if possible. Hotel appears to be occupied by weekly rental, permanent residents. If cleanliness matters, avoid this hotel. I won't add the pictures I have because they are disgusting (men's room in common area; feces on wall and ceiling - as just 1 example)Rooms: Condition and cleanliness of rooms, and property, is probably worst I've experienced. A zero out of 5 on everything except location
