It is safe, quiet, and people respect each other's privacy. Social events are a good way to meet the neighbors. The public area is clean and the landscaping is done well. I would recommend living here to people who work downtown. Convenient access to nicholasville road shopping, and food at chinoe rd or richmond rd. Most days 10 minutes from downtown and alternate access using chinoe to montavesta or getting off tates creek on albany or landowne to use montavesta when traffic is bad. Fresh market across the street is quick to pick up something to make for dinner on the way home, too.

I have lived here for a year now and love it. The community is friendly, neighborhood is beautiful, and maintenance is amazing - I’ve had every maintenance request addressed within 24 hours. It is in a great location with stores and shops within walking distance just across the street. I highly recommend these apartments.

I have lived here for 8 years and like it. The location is convenient for shopping and main streets. Maintenance is excellent and snow on the streets is removed quickly. Apartments are quiet and comfortable.
I recommend Merrick Place.

Applied for my 66 year old mother to get an apartment. I co-signed for her. Together we pull over $7k a month. We both have great credit and rental history. Got denied due to “insufficient income”. The office manager just told me that as the co-signer, I have to make 5x the rent. That’s $5,500-6,500 a month to live in a 1 bedroom apartment. So if you don’t make 1400/week before taxes, you’re wasting your time. I’m glad I wasted $100 applying. They could have just told me what their income requirement was BEFORE I wasted my money. This is America. Hardly ANYONE makes $1400/week.

Sewage recently started backing up into my kitchen sink as well as my neighbor's. My neighbor's apartment was flooded with sewage yesterday, and the carpet had to be replaced. However, maintenance has been very responsive in dealing with the maintenance requests associated with these issues. Overall nice place, great service, but with the potential for sewage backing up and overflowing from the kitchen sink.

From the responsive and friendly staff to the wonderful grounds maintenance and amenities, we love being here. Plus, we’re enjoying the townhome life after downsizing from our house and yard. It’s nice that most all our neighbors are friendly and social but not invasive or nosy.
