We put a deposit down on a camper since we live nearly 2 hours away and knew it would be a few days before we were able to get there to see it in person. We didn’t want them to sell it out from under us. We were told twice that this deposit was refundable. However, when we changed our mind and called to inform them that we were no longer interested, the deposit was suddenly non-refundable. The salesperson and management became unpleasant when we pushed back, since we were told by two people that the deposit was refundable. I would never recommend United Motorsports for this sole reason. Seems like sketchy and unethical business to me!
My husband has called and left a message for Adam THREE times now, as instructed below, and still has received no call back. We’ve also sent an email and have not gotten a response either.
They’ve refunded half of our down payment. Told us that they could’ve sold this camper 5-6x’s in the ONE business day we had the deposit on it, so we needed to compensate for their lost business. They also told us that they had taken it completely off the market (off-line), which was total BS because we were still looking at the pictures of it online. Sounds to me like if they have such an interest in that model then they need to order more for the lot!

Ernie in service was wonderful!! We used to take our jet ski to Jet Ski shop in Nicholasville but owner there got an attitude because we purchased oil from United for $19 and he wanted $65 but glad we.took it to United because it needed pumping out as it was dirty plus United gave us itemized details of what they did..never had that before..a little longer drive but better service for sure

Spoke with person on the phone. They transferred me to parts. As soon as I get through who I am. Josh hangs up. Had a friend of mine call and he hangs up on him too. These guys apparently don't need business or money

Went by the Lexington store, have to say awesome inventory. Sadly they were not interested in selling anything or even giving friendly hello. I went in because I am in the market for a Ducati, zero customer service. Will not be back. Went by the Harley shop and had a totaly different experience.

Well we had a wonderful day out on the lake thanks to United Motor Sports. It was a rough start but Javi, Brody and Pete got everything worked out and got us the boat that we wanted. Couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with. Would highly suggest getting your boat from them. They are having affordable deals on 2023 Sea Doo Switch right now.

I came in to get my first service done on a Ducati that I bought out of state. The service advisor was able to get me worked in quickly which was a big deal because I didn't have the ability to drop the bike off and come back. Not only did they get me done and out of there quickly they also saved me money. I will return for my parts and service in the future.

Called service and had two error codes, had already looked them up and knew exactly what they meant. Asked if they could give me a ballpark on the time and cost to fix them or clear them, as I live an hour away and they are unfortunately the closest service provider of my product. Nope, won't discuss it, wouldn't even let me give them the codes, said it will require a minimum of an hour time for diagnostics which runs about $150 before they can even tell me anything. Never mind the fact I ALREADY HAVE THE ERROR CODES, which are very common apparently and easily found online and be a known issue........ What an absolute racket. I'm now expected to waste a minimum of three hours and spend $150, not knowing if the potential fix is usually $100 or $1000 in general terms. I won't ever do business with this place. What an awful customer service experience. I'm not asking for an answer and contract in stone, just a general ballpark, but they aren't even willing to do that. No thanks.

I have purchased (4) high dollar motorcycles from them over the years. In all cases they have provided the best cost and ease of purchase as well as being my closest dealership. I do my own work on the bikes but have used them a few times for things I thought would be better that the dealership do. It was a mixed bag on those items.
My son and I stopped in there 6/6/24 to purchase a jetski. There were employees everywhere...way more than customers. We walked the entire floor looking for yamaha PWC's. We finally found them and saw that a model they said was in-stock on-line was not on the floor. nothing wrong with that. I figured as we were looking around someone would offer some help or answer any questions we have. Nope. All were talking with each other or on their phones. Again nothing wrong with that if at least one was helping the customer. You know the customer....the reason everyone is even there to begin with. So we left without a word from anyone.
I called the next day to see if the model I was looking for was in fact in-stock. It was in a crate in the back. No problem at all with that. I stated I would pay cash and come pick it up if we could work out a deal. Again I have purchased a few machines from these folks and every time it was explained to me that "We sell high numbers and that allows us to offer the best discount". Well those days are over evidently. Absolutely not one $$$ below MSRP as well as a bunch of fees I have never seen before at this shop. I explained to the salesman that I am a multi-repeat customer and the answer was still "sorry, would like to earn ur business at the MSRP + Fees price". Likely won't be going back. I will buy from elsewhere just for the reason that they do not value the long-term relationship. It is unfortunate as I have sent everyone I know there looking for cycles and sxs's. If you are planning on making the drive to LMS or UMS please check the other dealers in your area. They may be farther away but I would assume they would likely value your business more.
Edit 6/13/24.....
I sent an email to Mr. Short after receiving his reply below on 6/9/24. It is now 6/13 and have heard nothing from him. I stated that I would gladly edit my review if I got anything wrong in my initial review and if we were able to work anything out. That has not happened as of yet. The decline seems to continue. I was also able to contact another dealer that is further away and they were able to tell me the price which was not MSRP nor did they charge any fees at all just price + tax. How easy is that?

Had no appointment upon meeting with Kristen Murphy here in Lexington, and she helped me find the best fifth wheel for my budget very quickly. Kristen was friendly and professional making the buying process so much easier. Im now the happy owner of a keystone Montana! Thank you again!

I just bought my first motorcycle today which is a Can-Am Ryker 600 Ace. Tae was my sales person and he's a great guy! He has been very helpful getting everything sorted for me as well as getting my Ryker ready for me. Ask for Tae if you head to United Motorsports of Lexington! Great place to buy a motorcycle, four-wheeler, side by side or even a slingshot! I'll be a repeat customer for all of my gear and eventually my next Can-Am motorcycle!
