One of the few big independent booksellers left. The store is beautiful with a great selection. I wish they had the horror section actually marked and and more books in the genre, but I still love and support this place. Go check them out!

Half bookstore, half bistro, half gift shop, all good vibes. I particularly enjoyed the large discount books section and the sweet potato fries.

Bathrooms have been gross lately. They smell musty. The floors are dirty. The water pressure in the sinks is poor.I understand that the Bistro and "bookstore" respectively have heavy foot traffic most days. But it doesn't take much to keep a bathroom clean when it's being done regularly.I'm not sure if these restrooms are cleaned by staff at the Bistro or from Joseph Beth's, but either way, it mars the experience. Regardless of whether you're eating (especially if you're trying to eat without getting grossed out) or browsing for books. Or both.

We don't live close by, but we love treating ourselves to an outing shopping here.This is not just a bookstore but a whole experience .Allow yourself time to wander not just stacks of books and magazines , but also items related to reading, relaxing in general, unique things to wear, kitchen items, hats, and of course, a children's section.Love this bookstore.

I have always loved coming here. The food at the bistro is top notch. The atmosphere at the bookstore is relaxing with quite a large selection of books for sale.
