Major, major, MAJOR ripoff. I'm filing single and all I have are a W-2, a 1098, and a 1099. The preparer did a fine job despite the fact that I owe a tax balance. I was there a total of a little over an hour and they charged me a whopping $350. This is 5 times more than I was expecting to pay. ASK what the fees are first, and DO NOT sign the agreement to pay the fees until you know what the fees are. My own fault of course. Just don't get F'd like I did.

The service was really smooth, and the lady preparing the forms (Wendy, I believe) was amazing. It seemed excessively expensive. $340 for a simple tax return with the addition of claiming $70 in dividend income.
