The hotel is very conveniently located close to the convention center, a not too far drive. The hotel breakfast was very delicious. The parking is complimentary and does get busy later in the evening. Make sure you place the parking permit on your dashboard. The only negative is that the hotel bathroom is a little outdated, and the bed wasn't comfortable.

This is the last time I will ever stay in a Holiday Inn willingly! When I checked into my room (8/17/24)the room was a little warm so I turned the AC. It was very loud and nonstop. I waited a few minutes to see if it would subside, when it did not I called the front desk and asked to switch rooms. I was informed that they were fully booked and that no room replacement was available. I was also told that housekeeping suggested that I turn the AC to auto and that it would only be loud when it was on. Being the summer in KY means the AC would turn on every 15 minutes or so. Every time it sounded like a spaceship was landing in the room. If the AC was off the room was unbearably hot. My wife and I got no sleep the entire night. The next day we were busy with our scheduled activities when I received a call at 11:59 am (that makes a difference to them somehow) and was told they had a different room available and asked when I could come switch rooms. I told them I would not be able to return for a while. When we returned to the hotel at 3:30 pm I was told that they had given my new upgraded room to someone else because I didn't come back in time. I told them that was unacceptable and they need to figure something out. At this time two members of the housekeeping staff showed up and argued with me about how loud it really was and that when it is on auto "it's not that bad". At this point they start telling me that it's my fault for not coming back in time because they needed to clean the room to give to someone else! I told them they shouldn't have given me the room in the first place if they knew there was a problem and that they shouldn't be giving it to anyone else either. I was eventually given another identical room(no upgrade) but no attempt was made by anyone at the hotel to apologize or make amends. I tried numerous times to speak to a manager over the phone but they are never available and do not call me back. I called IHG and they said it's the hotel's problem and to call them. We enjoy being IHG Platinum members but after 3 bad experiences at Holiday Inn's in different cities, it has caused us to look at other options for our hotel loyalty programs. Very disappointed!

The hotel stay for my daughter's medical appointment was such a great experience we will for sure be staying here again for the next one.
The lady working the front seat yesterday when I checked in was so nice and super helpful
The rooms were clean and spacious.
And the breakfast was one of the best we have had while staying at the different hotels.

Walkability: I did not venture, but I was outside, and I noticed several people walking around. May be due to the college atmosphere of the area

Me and my family of 4 were very satisfied with our stay here! Clean room, superb service and overall pleased with our stay here. My parents have stayed here twice and were very happy to come back. We definitely will come back if we’re ever visiting! ??

I was racially profiled to get the free included breakfast i was ask if I was a guest and what room I was staying in even though no one else was questioned and I know this because I watched while I ate. When I ask the person at the front desk as to why I would be questioned she went back to speak with a manager and her answer was because I came in from outside with a backpack on so I could be homeless mind you I came in in business casual attire 3 button polo and black slacks and the backpack in question was a $600 coach backpack I most certainly did not look homeless but I did look unlike everyone else in the breakfast area.
I will not be staying here again and if you are a person of color I would avoid this particular location as well.

My wife and I have been staying here for years and we have always been treated with a FIRST CLASS experience!!!!!! I would like to give SPECIAL PRAISE to Sierra at the front desk. She has AMAZING people skills and a pleasure to deal with for any questions or needs we may have!!!!

The staff goes over and above for requests, have great customer service, and make each visit pleasant.
Rooms: Rooms are always impeccable. A couple of times I even saw mattresses leaned up against the headboard and house keeping inspecting the mattresses.
Safety: I have not felt any threat of danger, well lit hallways and parking lot.
Food and drinks: Warm food, I’m not particularly a scramble egg person, but I’m still thankful for a warm breakfast. I have no complaints.

Car broke down and am stuck in Lexington for a bit. It was a clean, comfortable place for the night.
