Staff communication was very poor incomplete work and truck still has issues. This was my second visit to KD auto North Broadway Lexington. KY and same issues poor service. As per my insurance they tried to get more money for things that was not necessary. The customers are calling and the staff is irritated to answer the phone. My truck was at the shop for 1 month. I called two days straight with no response until I had to drive to the shop. I will not recommend.

Had a very disappointing experience with KD Auto Repair, which is still on going. They have broken all of their agreements and have caused nothing but an inconvenience. I spent $4100 for a transmission repair only to get the car back and had the same issue, only a day later. I took the car back and was told it was fixed yet again. I got in the car and drove over an hour away and the same issue happened again. I had to rent a car which cost me $740 because I was never offered a loaner car. I was told the part was deemed defective. Kyle told me 3 times in the same conversation (that I recorded), he would take care of the rental fee. All he needed was the receipt. Their communication was awful. I left numerous messages, with little to no response. In my opinion a simple call back with an update should not be that hard since I paid $4100. I had to physically go to their shop and speak to Kyle in person for any updates. Kyle tells me that he sent the Rental receipt to Kena at their District office and states that she would take care of it. Kyle tells me it would take a couple of days. I waited and still no phone call. I then call Kena and she tells me they don't reimburse for car rentals because they have their own loaner service. I explained to Kena that Kyle stated to me 3 times, my rental fees would be covered.
After a few days of waiting for a call, I called and spoke with Kena again, and she agrees to pay $609 for the car rental. Now she doesn't answer my calls or return any of my messages to let me know how and when I should expect a refund. I would highly discourage anyone take their car to this place for any major repairs. No-one should be treated in this manner with KD Auto Repair.

Excellent experience. I called in the afternoon and got an appointment for the following morning. I was back in my car less than 24 hours after I called. New brake pads and rotors on both axles. Getting estimates texted to me for approval before any work was a nice touch. Smooth operation.

No you did not do work you want $550 to put thermostat and coolant tank I already had parts I found another mechanic that did it for $60 thanks Mr.Baily on Georgetown street for fixing my car.

Car was barely doing 20 mph all we heard were popping sounds! We found KD auto through maps and made it there all the staff was super nice. They were up front about the time frame (were from mi traveling back) have us recommendations to hotels in the area and even offered us a ride. I hope to see this shop on better circumstances next time! Because they are amazing big shoutout to Kyle for talking us through everything and getting us back on the road! You guys are an awesome shop & the car drives great we couldn’t be happier EDIT : 3 hours after servicing my car gasket cover they did exploded on me and looks like they won’t cover it. They won’t return my calls or my husbands we spent over 1400 at the shop and are now being told there’s no warranty on pieces. Unless the shop honors how bad they messed my car up (my current shop has photos and videos of it) it’s going to be another 650-800 to DO EVERYTHING all over again. Idk if I was taken advantage of because I wasn’t local or what but they messed up my car bad and I’m still currently without it a week later. My 4 year old was in the car when all this happened. Literally almost blew up my car because they didn’t fully replace what they got paid to do. BEWARE

My car was blowing out hot air, KD Auto diagnosed and fixed the problem. So far, my car is now cooling very well. However, I rated 4 stars review due to the amount charged to diagnose and replace a damaged compressor, $1300 and change, which I thought was expensive, and the length of time it took them to complete the job, (2 days, 2 nights). As it is, I am very satisfied with the job and recommend KD auto repair Lexington.....
