Such a great move in experience! I had to move on super short notice and Bridle Creek made it such a smooth transition. I came to them looking for a unit that I needed to move in to ASAP and Larra made sure it was all *sparkled* (cleaned) and ready for me the very next day! She even left me a little welcome note and a nice candle :) She, as well as Darien, have both been super helpful and quick to respond to all of my questions and needs. 5/5 stars for sure

What an absolute scam of a place; do not apply here if you are self-employed. Took $100 from me after a woman at the office practically begged me to apply— assuring me that my bank statments where I make over triple the rent would suffice. I was promised an answer by the end of the day; never heard from her again. The next day when I called back a different woman said I didn’t make enough (huh?) and would need a co-signer who made 6 times the monthly income (insane). Then she switched up and said that she was looking at my transactions wrong and I definitely make enough, and it’s consistent, but she needs to speak to a higher up (okay, more waiting and anxiety). The next day she responded and said I would need a co-signer AND they would have to submit another application fee (illegal in the state of Kentucky). So yeah, absolutely ridiculous. I lived here a few years ago and it was all fine— aside from the massive wolf-spiders that were constantly coming into my first floor apartment and the trash that was constantly overflowing.BBB gave this place an F, so that should have probably dissuaded me from ever trying to apply. I don’t know if they make bank off of tricking people into paying application fees, but this place is sketchy as hell.

Former tenant, this was a great place UNTIL it was bought out. Rent is way to high for a unit that hasn't been updated, appliances date 2002. Service requests go un fulfilled. Windows are paper thin causing heat or a.c bill to be high. Breezeway are nasty with trash juice. Billing portal sometimes doesn't work causing late fees even if you pay a week early. Had an emergency repair needed as it was the hot water tank that ruptured and flooded the apartment and ones below. It got repaired 9 hours later however caused the wall in utility closet to mold. Steer clear. Better places wIth more professional workers. Staff has a high turn over. It's all around not a great place.

I’d give zero stars if I could. This place is absolutely ridiculous since they’ve been bought out. They do not do their jobs and they NEVER EVER pick up the phone!!! I should NOT- as a PAYING resident- have to call 10 times (literally) before leaving a voicemail that you NEVER respond to. I am so over Bridle Creek and do NOT plan on renewing again. It was a mistake renewing in the first place. I could write a book on my situation and all of the problems but plenty of others have already left reviews of that sort and were STILL never taken care of properly. So, I will spare the story and just fore-warn you now- I DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE unless you want to be SCREWED out of your time & money.

My son recently moved into this complex. From a distance, it looks like a nice, upscale community. Upon closer inspection, it leaves much to be desired. The breezeways are filthy with roaches. The exterior siding is covered in dirt and is in desperate need of pressure washing. Staff told him they had cleaned his carpet but there were visible stains. Upon move in, the closet light and bathroom light had burned out bulbs. I would steer clear of this complex. There are much better options in Lexington.

UPDATE: They did reach out again but we’re completely unwilling to work with me or hear out the proof that I had already paid the fees they charged additional at move out. They told me that everything was final and were very rude and condescending. If you want a headache or have money to burn, go ahead and apply but I’d stay far away from this horribly managed facility.Edit: They did finally get back to me and seem to be open to some sort of communication at the least. Hopefully there can be a compromise in the future.Corporate scum lords is who run this place now.We lived there for 5 years and had a great time and no problems until West Shore LLC took over last June 2022. Ever since then it’s been nothing but problems and no resolutions! They wrongly charged us $125 in fees when we paid our rent and when I tried to dispute it, they said to contact corporate but we had to “Google it” for their contact information. None of the numbers actually work and even if you leave voicemails or emails you will NEVER get a response. We finally decided to move out when they wanted to increase our rent by $600 for our apartment that had no upgrades and that they had not even offered to upgrade. When we moved out we paid the exact amount that was on our latest statement and then they turned around and said we didn’t pay enough for the last month. I have been trying to get this resolved for 4 months now and now I am just getting passed off to the “regional manager” that won’t contact me about anything. They stole $63 from our security deposit and they stole another $125 last year! Luxury living?? Not even close.

Simply go somewhere else. For how much we pay monthly for this place, you'd expect at the very least some professionalism, right? Not here. They try to charge luxury apartment prices because West Shore spent too much money but they don't bother with upkeep whatsoever. Every Sunday (sometimes sooner!) there's a pile of trash outside the single dumpster in the complex. On top of that, they force you to pay for their Valet Trash service, which not only doesn't pick up on Friday-Saturday, they also have a long list of specifics they won't pick up and if you break that list they try to charge you a fee. That's all assuming they even take it, since sometimes you can get the can out on time and it's left untouched for no reason. This wouldn't be so egregious if there were multiple dumpsters in the complex you could take your own trash to but again, single dumpster.Maintenance requests are a nightmare alone. We've had to call them for pretty serious issues several times in the almost two years we've lived here: Toilet runs constantly on occasion, they came to "fix" it but instead just marked it as complete without solving literally anything. The fan in the bathroom doesn't work at all, leading to mold growth on the ceiling, they tell us they're waiting on a part then mark it as complete. AC doesn't reach the extra bedroom despite their advice of "just turn some vents off", which wastes quite a bit of electricity. They never even put a filter in our HVAC when we moved in, unbeknownst to us, so it went awhile without one. You simply can't get anything done and just have to hope nothing explodes. On the topic of the HVAC, the apartments are horribly insulated. Our heating bill was abhorrent last winter and a thick layer of frost formed on all the windows and the sliding door.Another thing to consider: they didn't even let us SEE our new apartment until way after we signed the lease and were handed the keys. That should have been a huge red flag, but we had already put so much into moving here by that point that we were stuck. The final nail in the coffin, West Shore couldn't be bothered getting a lease price quote on time when the lease was set to renew. We were planning to move if the rent went up, not out of necessity but out of principal of "this place is already too expensive"; however, despite much hounding and appointments with the office that we scheduled our whole days around, it kept getting "delayed" until it was past the deadline to let them know if we were renewing or leaving. If we'd decided to leave, we would have had to pay at least one month of heavily increased rent on top of moving fees, which wasn't an option for us at the time. Some extra, minor gripes: the pool smells awful, There are motorbikes and cars that drive WAY too fast through the complex (which is full of children, mind you) because there are very little speed bumps, no sidewalks so walking anywhere near the entrance to leave is a test, nobody cleans the hallways leading into the apartments (or they just really like the sock that's chilling on the stairs and any trash left by internet companies maybe), the odd apartment numbering method (building number before actual apartment number) means that any deliveries can and will end up at the wrong address (was this supposed to end up at 02102 or 12102? both doors just say "102"!), the list goes on.I couldn't recommend this place any less, honestly. Housing is a mess right now, but this place is just about the worst I've experienced in Lexington so there's nowhere to go but up. I've lived at Oak Grove, MAA Mansion and The August before here and despite their flaws, I never experienced this much of a headache with an apartment before.

Do not move here! There are so many reasons. My ceiling was leaking water from the upstairs bathroom for over a year and I bright it to management’s attention and they did nothing until I was already packed up and loading my moving truck. The rent was raised 50%from one lease period to the next. Management also threw a fit and didn’t approve me getting my emotional support dog because they thought she was German Shepard, supposedly a restricted breed. She’s a gray and white Husky. All the while there are full out Pit Bull owners walking their dogs all over the complex daily. There are also German Shepherds. Their appliances are old as dirt and they use a ridiculous amount of energy, so I requested to bring all my own brand new appliances to the unit. They approved. Upon move out I was charged over $3,000 for taking “their” appliances! Those were mine! I had to show proof of my purchase and proof of emails requesting and getting this change to management. Management, however, never talks to you when you call, if they even answer the phone in the office. I never received a call, email or any communication before I was charged for “stolen property”. Never even got an itemized list of charges emailed to me. I’m still asking for that. There are better apartments to move to with an office staff that is capable. Find a different place to live, you’ll regret this one.

This company told me that they would be returning my money they overcharged me for my rent, in JUNE, back when I inquired after realizing they had charged me $800 extra in JUNE. I have been waiting for my check since I was told it was being sent to me then, and was told LAST WEEK that my checked had just been mailed out Monday. I cannot get ahold of anyone over the phone, they pick and choose when to respond to your emails, and are incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional. I still have not received my money and I am furious I have not heard back from anyone.I am appalled at this current situation and the lack of initiative they are taking to get me my Monday back, a month and a halfIf you are looking for a responsive, professional, cares about their residents team, this is no longer the place.

Used to be a good place but not since it was bought by West Shore. Rent was hiked with nothing to show for it.They do not enforce dog rules. There is some one who lets their dog run off the leash everyday and after multiple complaints from multiple people nothing has been done about it. It's an incident waiting to happen. The grounds are not as maintained anymore. A lot more trash laying around. They do not respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner anymore. I haven't had a working dishwasher for two months because they are ignoring maintenance requests, messages, and emails. I've tried to call them but no one picks up.I cannot recommend this place.

If I could give less than 1 star I absolutely would because after living at Bridle Creek for almost 8 years I can honestly say that the property has gone so far downhill since the new management company took over. West Shore increased rent to obscene rates and for what? No upgrades to anything and leaving messes around the entire property. Since that time the overall appearance of the property is absolutely awful and to top it off it took over a month for a work order to be completed when I had no heat in my apartment in the coldest months of the year with a raccoon in my attic. When maintenance came to “take care of it” they told me they “weren’t animal control” and left me with no heat and no solution. Management did not do anything to help me when I asked multiple times and even hung up on me when I called upset about the situation. The level of unprofessionalism is through the roof across the board at that property. I have never been so happy to leave an apartment complex. I cannot recommend a place to live less than Bridle Creek.

If I could rate this company a zero I would because that's exactly how much they have paid me for the work I provided as a reputable tree service! They had a tree removed and stump grinding! The manager is "never available" and I am always avoided. It's been over 120 days and payment was due back then when the job was completed. I have paid out of pocket expenses in my personal account, made numerous attempts to reach out to this apartment manager, and they have gave me nothing for compensation and a list full of lies. Don't worry. I kept records of Bridle Creek apartments approval for the work, signatures and photos. The audacity to think that just because my contractors are Mexican that this business is not licensed or insured! Think again. I'll be contacting my lawyers. Have a wonderful day!

Thought these were already a bit over priced. They wanted to intially raise my rent from 1300 to 1700+. We are moving on to a new place but we appreciate bridle creek and their staff for making us feel welcome while we were here. Never had an issue with any of the people here either. Everyone we met was very nice. This new management is in a lil over its head tho. raising rent 30 percent plus during what are already pretty tough economic times for people. We are moving on but overall enjoyed our time here.

My apartment had a pound of dog hair in every corner, water leaks from 3rd floor all the way to first. Office was rude af. Mailbox key never worked and the list goes on.
