Boston Road Animal Clinic is FANTASTIC! Dr. Burns started it years ago and he personally recommends the new ownership. The staff was great with my animals and I am staying with them. When you find young energetic people who love animals why would you leave??? Give the new team a chance, you will like them and your animals will love them. My two cents worth.

do not bring your pets here!! ever since dr burns retired the new vet has been charging more unnecessary fees that they don’t tell you about. they don’t care about your animals they only want to make money. they always try to push for pills or shots that your pet doesn’t need just to get money. dr burns has saved my pets multiple times but the new vet almost killed my cat. if you are looking for a new vet i highly discourage boston road animal clinic. i am heartbroken.

Loved this vet office when Dr Burns was there. Since he retired and sold the practice it is AWFUL. Besides the cursory exam on my 12 yo dog, the new vet tech cut my dogs nails past the quick and made them bleed ( and didn't even say sorry or do anything) and then the office manager insisted I had a prior balance. Just randomly added a balance from nowhere and was rude about it. Luckily I had my office visit notes and receipts from several prior visits to prove there wasn't a balance. Bad vet care and worse office practices. I've changed vets.

I didn’t learn that that the practice had been sold and Dr Burns was retiring, until we arrived for our visit. I wish him well in his retirement but will miss him and am very dissatisfied with the new ownership and changes. The new office staff added phantom charges, a past due balance, to my bill. Luckily I had the receipt from the previous visit - a surgery - to prove that I had paid in full and actually had a $0 balance. The sweet office cats are gone, boarding and grooming have been discontinued and one of the new techs d blood twice doing a nail trim. My senior dog is so passive she will let a vet or tech do whatever they need to do so it was just incompetence on the techs part (and no apology just a quick try to cover it up). The new vet might be ok - I haven’t met her yet nor will I. Her choice in new office staff, new techs and new policies doesn’t give me reason to trust her judgment in the care of my pet. I’m looking for a new vet for my dog’s next annual visit.

The management has changed, and Dr. Burns is no longer there. We were not informed about the change in ownership, and it was quite a surprise when we took our dog for her annual checkup and shots. Dr. Burns was great; he was so quick and gentle with our dog, and his techs knew how to handle her. The new tech could not handle her, and she got so stressed they had to put a muzzle on her! And the doctor did not look her over or talk to us at all. He just gave her the shots and we were charged $50 for a well visit, when he did not even look at her! And the tech kept pestering us about doing a heart worm test when she has no symptoms of heart worm and we give her the monthly preventive medicine. So disappointed in the experience! We will be looking for a new vet!

This place is under new management and it's unrecognizable. It used to be a warm welcoming place with a loving staff and wonderful animals that needed homes. Now it's sterile and unwelcoming. I'm going to find a new place to take my animals. It breaks my heart because Dr. Bob is a wonderful vet but it's just not the same.

We've taken our dogs there for about the last 20 yrs. Now all the great staff have left!! I understand Dr. Burns is retiring. What will I do? Don't know who new vet is or anything about him.

Dr. Burns and his staff are amazing. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. They are good to you and the pet. They care about everyone's wellbeing and I have never felt that I was paying for something unwanted or unnecessary. Best Veterinary practice EVER!
