I had several repairs done on my car over the course of about 1.5yrs. Everytime I took it in they found more than what I took it in for resulting in a 1k+ bill everytime . After three times of this I got a second opinion and sure enough I didn't need everything done they wanted to do and was quoted hundreds less to do the repair. They are slow and terrible about communicating the status of the car (at very least state the name of the business when you answer the phone). I had to call for updates and to find out if they were done with it or not. Now that I'm with a different mechanic I know none of that is acceptable. Fast forward 1.5yrs later and I have just had to replace a muffler..... precision had supposedly replaced my whole exhaust system sooooo my suspicions that they are shady are confirmed. They get one star only because I'm not a total Karen and the father-son combo was nice to look at.

This professional and lovely team made my car in safe to drive after it sat in my driveway for 2 years. The team suggested a thorough inspection. After the inspection I let them work on my car . . . The total cost for labor and parts was extremely fair, and for that I am so greatful. Now, I've been driving my little Toyota for two weeks with zero issues. I feel safe in it and the car sounds great.I would absolutely recommend Bluegrass Precision Auto Care. I will be calling this business FIRST if I need future quotes and work done on my vehicle!

I have always owned fairly older cars that seem to constantly need random repairs. I have been to many different mechanics, and I have finally found a trustworthy business that also does wonderful work, all at (in my opinion) great prices.I am mechanically illiterate. I can change a tire and my oil, but that is about it. And some less reputable mechanics have been able to see me coming a mile away and either charge way more than the going rate, or sell me on stuff that I do not need, all because they know I will not know any better. I've been charged 100 bucks at a place that rhymes with Ben Mowery for a diagnostic check, only to be told I'd need a significant engine repair, and I declined, went somewhere else and found out all I needed was 1 single spark plug replaced that had gone bad.Mike and his employees do not do this. They will check your car, talk it over with you so you can understand what is needed, then give you an estimate, and my estimates have been fairly accurate each time (I've been over 5 times at least, likely more). They stand by their work, and you can call and ask follow up questions, etc. I know this sounds like what should be standard business practices, but believe me, it is not. These guys are top notch. In the past before I found this place, I was lucky and had family members that can do light mechanical work. So I would drive 2 hours (if my car would make it) in order to have them look at it first, to see if they could fix it. If they couldn't, my gut would sink, and I knew I was gonna get metaphorically robbed. Now, I do not even take my car to family first, because I now have a mechanic that I know and trust to do right by his customers. So thank you Mike and the other guys. One more thing to add, I'm a fairly observative person when it comes to how people communicate and behave towards one another. I used to live in Lexington, but now I live half an hour away, so I usually will stay and wait for my car to be repaired, sitting in the waiting area. I've seen many people come and go through his office getting work done. And I'm impressed by how much his other customers think of him and like him. Rarely did I ever hear just a plain and simple business transaction. Almost always there was a bit of familiar small talk, giving me the impression that I am not the only one that keeps coming back. Always friendly, haven't seen any incidents of unhappy customers (though I admit every business will have their fair share of those). If you are looking for a mechanic you can trust to give it to you straight and do a solid job, look no further than Bluegrass Precision Auto.Services: Battery

My husband and I won't take our cars anywhere else. Everyone who works there is incredibly kind and professional. They do outstanding work and have never ever tried to upcharge us on anything. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

I have known Mike and his team for over a decade. He has always been trustworthy and fair. The prices are always competitive and generally undercut local dealer shop pricing. I've always felt confident and happy with the work they've done. Professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

Paid $137 to fix a brake switch which did not fix my problem at all (engine grinding while accelerating and turning). They said they test drove it and fixed it so I don’t know why out of the lot I still felt the issue. I performed a free diagnosis courtesy of autozone; I then needed a $45 oil change at Valvoline, they pinpointed my problem and now it runs fine. Joe who helped me seemed nice though and the water was crispy and cold and for that they earn 2/5 starsService: Brakes

I wouldn’t recommend. They installed a part that is not compatible with my car. I was also charged for flashing and reprogramming of the part and that didn’t happened. The new part showed the old mileage and didn’t show mine. It ultimately made my vehicle un-sellable to all dealerships and turned away most individuals. When I confronted them about it, they didn’t respond.
