Got my car towed here after it broke down on the interstate while headed to vacation. Josh was incredibly helpful in helping us diagnose the issue quickly and helping us get a rental so that we could get back on the road again

Charged me $176.59 just to **DIAGNOSE** a battery light. Told me it would be a further $900 to actually replace my alternator. Took it to another mechanic and had the alternator replaced for just $450, including the part. Foul scammers with outrageous prices.

I took my car here for a simple front wheel bearing replacement. They quoted me 800 for a repair the dealership quoted 400 for. They called me back an hour later to try to justify their price further by saying it was actually both front wheel bearings (which they should have known in the first phone call if it was true). The dealership did the repair for 268 and confirmed that it was mostly definitely not both wheel bearings. Clearly a scam to try to justify outrageous prices.

Took my car there because the windshield wiper motor stopped working. I told them periodically would stop the past few weeks then completely stopped so needs replacement. They then proceeded to charge me $164 to diagnose what I told them was wrong. (checked the fuse). Then they charged me $443 to replace with a Dorman motor and linkage that sells for 158 on Amazon and Walmart. "I have to make a profit" was his rationale and then charged another $164 to install. Total bill $771 to install an easy replacement. I have nothing against the mechanics they're fine but management is charging ridiculous prices. Can't recommend this place. For those who wonder about what happens when you respond to management:I sent email as requested they asked for invoice which I sent them and was told forwarded to senior management for investigation. After hearing nothing for a month I emailed them again and was told senior management would reach out today or tomorrow. Two weeks later after still no response sent another email this time was called in the afternoon. Low and behold it was the same person i originally spoke to at the shop with their 250% markup justification of "I have to make a profit". His argument now was I approved the bill. I told him that there was several things done that visit and an engine mount was replaced and I was quoted the entire amount and when I got the bill could see the itemized absurd price for the windshield wipers etc then. His rebuttal was I should have asked for an itemized bill before approving. Who does that? I just told him I guess if I came there with a broken headlight you would charge me $164 to diagnosed that and probably also markup the light 250% as well and then charge another $164 for labor.

?WOMEN DRIVERS GO ELSEWHERE?MONEY GRABBERS & PART CHANGERSIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. The “men” that work here do not respect women, especially the general manager, Joshua Lamb. These so called mechanics are part changers and are trying to get into your pockets to make a couple dollars. I had my 2015 Nissan brought here when it would not start even after replacing the battery. Immediately I was met with remarks about the problem being my alternator. After 1 day with the car sure enough they came back and said “my alternator was not charging”. I mistakenly let them change the alternator. A week later the car breaks down the same way, this time in the middle of the road. I took it back here as the alternator would be under warranty if they replaced it with a bad one. Sure enough, the next day I receive a call to say the alternator had an issue and they went ahead and replaced it. Another week later the car breaks down in the middle of the road doing the exact same thing again!! I was then met with the mass air flow sensor would need to be changed. This part had been changed within 2 years and had been the reason for the engine light being on for the year straight prior to this, so I know that was not the issue. However the car never had any other issues before when other computers would say the mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The AAA tow trucks drivers were also saying that was not the issue. At this point, I am telling these people what to look at on my vehicle. That should have been a red flag… After being told it would be $500 to replace the mass air flow sensor because of “labor” when I was able to replace it 2 years ago in a damn parking lot. These “mechanics” could not fix my car and I was told to have it taken to the Nissan dealership, so I called AAA roadside to tow it because of course the car doesn’t drive. My family has been AAA Gold members for over 20 years and have rarely ever actually needed these services, but 4 times in the last 4 weeks were needed this time. However, when the tow truck driver got there I was told it would be $95 in CASH to have the car towed. As a young college women who could have easily been alone, this is very off putting. The general manager, Joshua Lamb, then informed me that if my car was on the other side of the curb it would be free to tow. Joshua then proceeded to tell me he would not help me figure out how to get cash because let’s face it… it’s 2024…. who carries almost $100 in cash??? Again, a young college women… So had the tow truck driver not had any other calls I would have been left stranded. Again…. A young college women… As I was walking out of the door after receiving no help from Joshua he proceeds to make a very misogynistic comment saying something along the lines of “The cam and crank shaft positioning sensors were a really good guess for you, huh?” Certainly insinuating I was a female who shouldn’t know about cars. On top of this, the first time my car was brought here on January 4th to get the first alternator I received a condition report. When I showed Joshua the condition report actually had a check mark next to the alternator stating that it was actually fine the whole time he could not give any kind of explaination and I was told he couldn’t do anything about that since it was from a few weeks prior. My car is now at Nissan who is saying I never needed the first alternator which the AAA condition report backs, so I was scammed out of over $1,000. Joshua Lamb does not believe women should know anything about cars and will make sure to let you know. Absolutely awful experience and I will never be back. AAA will also be losing a member of over 20 years. Go literally anywhere else in Lexington.

This place is absolutely awful and incompetent. Do yourself a favor and find another garage. I would never have gone to this place had it not been a AAA tow. My daughters car had an overheating issue in Lexington and they towed it there. Spent over $900 on a radiator and the two hoses and an oil change. Ask them if they should change the thermostat out as well while they had the hoses off they approve the changes and they keep coming back with more excuses that now we think it’s something else they can’t make up their mind what the problem is in the meantime, my daughters without a car and I’m out well over a grand for this, including the toe. Nobody seems to have a straight answer for me. This place is totally incompetent said no it’ll be fine. Daughter pics of car on Tuesday doesn’t drive it on Wednesday gets out on Thursday and it immediately overheats on her period has the tow the car all the way back to Lexington to the job for them to look over what they had done. They miraculously said oh it must be the thermostat and the heater control. I authorize the changes and now they keep coming back to me with additional things that they think it might be. Alton flight the bill. These guys are incompetent and cannot diagnose a problem to save your life. As it stands right now I am more than likely taking them to court.

Made an appointment for Wed. 6/6/23 to have my car window repaired. You could not roll in down as it was not on a track. Dropped car off on Tuesday and told they needed $200 deposit for the part which I paid. No one contacted me all day so I called at 4:00 and was told they had not gotten to it but would have it done the next day. Once again I had to make a call around 4:00 and was told the part they ordered did not work. Had to call again the next day just to be told no parts were available as my car was to old. They also were suppose to find out why the windshield fluid was not coming out. Had to leave it another day and they said it needed a new pump motor. They replaced it and I finally would get my car back on 6/15/23. Since the charge was only $104.08 I had a credit of $95.92. When I went in they said they had no way of giving me the money back but would do my next services with no charge. For at least a year my car would just die as I was driving. It started right back up but would do this 3 or 4 times a day and then be ok for weeks. Then my battery would not start my car after work but a charge would start it. The last time I had AAA tow it from my house to AAA Northland. They would do a free diagnostic since it was towed by AAA. Guess what, had to call the next day to see what they found out. Josh said I needed a new ignition lock cylinder. Told them to do an oil change and rotate the tires while it was there. Had to call again the next day and was told I may need to have a Buick dealer reset the ignition key since I had an alarm system. Then on 7/25/23 went to pick up car and was told the new ignition key did not come with a chip so they had to put the original ignition on the steering column using my old key to read the chip and new key in new ignition to start the car. Bill was $504.75 and they charged me for the oil change which was to be free since they had my $95. Randy was only one there and did not know how to do this. The car still shuts down every now and then while driving so problems was not fixed. A few days later I noticed I could not lock the car, when they took the panel off to fix the window it was not put back correctly. I told Josh it would be nice to have everything they looked at and diagnosed on my statement. He showed me how they take picture and send it to my email. I said I never received any emails even though they had my email. My reason for asking was my brakes were screeching so why didn't they notice that when they rotated my tires a few weeks before. I got an email showing my brakes and replacement of $466. I picked up the car the next day without them fixing the brakes and said I would not be back and wanted my $95.00. They credited my card. I had to return the next day. My insurance company wanted a copy of my last oil change showing my millage for my discount. Took out invoice and it showed in millage as 99999 in and out millage as 99999 and no sticker my windshield. What a dysfunctional place. They had no way to make a new invoice. There was a new person at the front desk who said he had never seen such a mess. He couldn't find anything. I discovered yesterday that the button to move my outside mirrors is not working which is park of the door panel they removed and had to fix the lock on. Not going back, just can't take it. I want my $504.75 back for an ignition lock cylinder I didn't need.

Do not! I repeat do not ever take your vehicle here. This place will scam you. We had to take our van in three times over an 8 month period to get brakes replaced. The first time they “fixed them” they went bad again after 2 months and then had the audacity to tell me it was the drivers fault. They “fixed it” again at no charge and again two months later they were bad again. The third time we told them they need to make this right. After the third time of them not being completely repaired we gave up and had to take it elsewhere. The car shop that fixed it properly for us cost less and told us that the other mechanic put the cheapest parts on it and the it cost us more for that than at the place that did it properly. Aaa contacted us to ask about our service and we sent in the invoices to show how they messed up royally and they have not reached back out. Back when it used to be auto tech services this place was top notch, it’s so sad they had to be bought out by a money hungry company that doesn’t care about their customers. So again please don’t waste your time and money here.

EDIT: so when I went in to pay for the repairs, they tried to charge me a higher amount than I was quoted. I get out to my car and there is mold and my back floorboards are soaked. Awful. Two days late getting started even looking at my vehicle, and not even a call.. I hope their mechanics are better than whoever is in managing them.

My car was towed there on a Wed evening. Keys put in lock box and I removed visible personal items from front & back seats. Car was inspected on Mon then towed to dealer as they couldn't fix. I just got my car back and the center console had been gone thru- items left out on seat & in cup holder. 1 gift card and change were stolen. Dealer says they have cameras and they didn't open the console. AAA didn't return my call. Beware of leaving your car.UPDATE: I contacted them as asked, provided information and was told they would get back to me. They didn't. I tried to follow-up and got no response.

My car had been sitting for a while, and I had my car towed here. As a young woman with literally no knowledge about cars, or how to describe sounds I did not feel belittled as I normally do other shops. The customer service was amazing. They were all very friendly and they fixed my car very quickly! Thank you AAA tire & auto for fixing my car, and being so great! I will definitely be returning!
