Do not come early to get loaded. They will make you wait until your appointment time. Best to show up 5mins before appointment time. Sad place to get loaded.

Be sure to add this cooperage tour to your bourbon trail itinerary. It was so interesting to see and learn about the process to make the barrels. The place smelled fantastic with all that oak. They don't allow photos inside the manufacturing part.

No photos or videos allowed inside the facility, but take my word for it, an amazing experience.Short of scouting and harvesting the timber, this is where it all begins. A must see for anyone on the Bourbon Trail. This place is hot and smoky…and these folks work their a _ _ es off for piecework pay. The milling and smoking of white oak here smells delicious. Especially when you consider that this is what makes up 70-80% of the flavor in bourbons.Workers demonstrated several steps in the process just for the tour. Our guide was excellent at breaking down all the complicated step that a barrel goes through getting ready to be filled with what will become liquid gold after 6-20+ years.Don’t miss out on the tour.

I love a good factory tour, and this one did not disappoint. You really get a good look at what goes into a barrel. The do have a no pictures policy, but you get to see pretty much the whole process. It's such an interesting mix of machine and manual labor. The firing process to create the char on the inside is also quite impressive.

This is an underrated tour, and we are thankful it was recommended to us by a couple that went the day before. I agree with other reviewers that this should be the start of any bourbon trail adventures as you get to see first hand how the barrels are made from start to finish. 10/10 stars. Don't under estimate the legitimate physical labor that goes into creating the barrels that house most of Kentucky's bourbon.

Nice hidden gem to add to your bourbon tour experience. The Cooperage (Barrel maker) is the leading barrel maker for the Kentucky Bourbon region, and the tour was very interesting and informative. I learned after the tour that Pat, the tour guide, is a local "folk-hero". Regardless of his long history in Lebanon, KY, he gave an excellent and entertaining tour. Someone that is easy to listen to, fun to talk with and very friendly. The tour gets you up close to the barreling process and if you are in the region to learn more about bourbon making - this is a must add to your plans.

The staff was great and the tour was so good, almost medival but in a great way! Fire and hard labor! We loved how the tour gave us a great foundation to Boubon. Start here first. It opens your eyes to the origins of Boubon.

The attention is good, although the place to load is somewhat uncomfortable due to the expansion works they are doing

When you have completed the Kentucky bourbon tours and think that you have seen as there is to see, then think again. Great fun and well presented this tour gets you up close in the process. From the charring process to seeing a cooper repair a barrel it clearly demonstrates the skills needed in this old business. Well worth the money, lasts for a little over an hour. Pick a cool or wet day to visit. Standing next to burning barrels would not be as much fun in the summer.

A must see tour for any whiskey tour enthusiast. you actually get to see the process of creating and making barrels . one of the highlights is actually going into the manufacturing plant where you get to see them char the barrels and you learn about the process of how barrels are created and how they are repaired. Allison and pat were so friendly. some of the best tour guides I've ever been on . a must see . very reasonable in price as well!!

A great tour. Before or after you visit a distillery, you should learn about the barrels. The tour is is very interesting and fun. You can watch the cooperage process from beginning to end. The barrel charring process is particularly interesting. No photographs are allowed on the tour.
