The staff here is incredibly patient with you during the adoption/fostering process. Casey was thorough in all of the options possible and what the timeline can be. They do not pressure you or give you a short timeline on making decisions. Prices are very fair. But most importantly, they love the animals they take care of and they make sure the animal goes to home that shares that view. I can’t speak more highly of this shelter.

We got our puppy, Nugget, from here! We went to at least 4 different shelters in our search, but none matched the care and attention Anderson County gave. All of the staff truly dedicate their lives to the shelter, and they were SO helpful with the adoption process.
We’ve had Nugget for about 2 months now and I have zero regrets. If you are thinking about adopting, this is the first place I’d recommend!

The most caring people I've ever met! We were welcomed into the facility by Officer Owens. He is AMAZING! His love for the animals and the work he does should be commended! In a world where selfishness prevails over kindness, there is one place I know that hasn't been tainted!
