2nd experience with Ken Towery, first with this location. I purchased tires through a 3rd party and they were delivered to this shop for install. Appointment was scheduled a week and half in advance. Dropped car off before appointment window at 8am, and was told I would be called when done. At 6:30pm, I decided to head up there and wait since the shop would close at 7 and I hadn’t been contacted to pick up the car. Upon arrival, I spoke with someone on staff who said they didn’t have the correct weights to balance the tires, but they had ordered them to be there tomorrow. Would’ve been nice to have been notified of the delay. Left the car to be finished to be picked up the next day. Called the next day around 9 or so. Was told the shipment would be in within 30 minutes and my car done within an hour and a half. several hours go by, no call. I called back around 2:30pm, to be informed the car was done. Went and picked up the vehicle, only to notice the shaking and vibrations when driving the car. Decided to not take it back to Ken Towery to fix the balance issue. Took it to Big O in Lagrange next door, and it was fixed immediately with no communication issues. This will be my 2nd and last experience with Ken Towery.

Very unprofessional. Arguing with employees in front of customers and not changing oil when it was supposed to be done is unexceptable.

I tried to get a headlight put in my help. It's an HDI bulb so I know they are costly. This shop wanted 495 $ 265 labor 230$ for ONE bulb! Got 2 bulbs and installed right down the street at valvoline for 233$. I paid for 2 bulbs and install fir less then the labor for one bulb! It took 30 minutes MAX for both headlights. There is more to the story about up charge for oil because they didn't have what I bought on Groupon, and not honoring my appointment time even thought I got a text confirming my day and time. BUYER BEWARE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

AWFUL experience!!!! avoid going here. Jarel was probably the rudest employee who apparently is the assistant manger. No sorry was ever said. No let me look into this. Told me I should have done my research with reviews before coming in. Bought a Groupon and ended up charging us $60 extra. Asked to use my own plug, guy upon drop off said can’t use your own parts. Asked how much it would be and the guy said “not sure”. Also charged me extra for oil filter since it’s not standard. I have a F150. Also upon pick up noticed the tires weren’t rotated & he said oh well bring it on back. It was there all day…. If you want to be nickeled and dime go & get an oil change here.

Stripped my oil drain plug during an oil change. Had to spend 400 dollars to get a new oil pan because of them

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Rebuilt front end on truck. Took truck there for alignment. They called and said it was done. Paid $154 and picked truck up. Steering wheel off center and truck still pulled to the right. They attempted to sell me tires saying that was the problem. I asked to see a printout of the alignment. The truck had 1.75° negative caster on the right side. Any vehicle should have at least .25° positive caster on the right side to drive straight. Once I told them that then they said it would be another $399.97 to align the front end They claimed they already aligned AND I ALREADY PAID $154 FOR. I am ASE master certified and I have worked on cars and trucks for 25+ years and I've never seen such a poor managed facility In all my years of working on cars.
***update***
After leaving this review I was contacted by Ken towery and they handled the situation very professionally and the customers money was refunded and they apologized for the issues

I scheduled an appointment for my car's alignment at this location. It was set up more than 24 hours in advance and I dropped it off before the appointment. Unfortunately, despite being left for a simple alignment job, my car was not moved from its parking spot and no assessment or work was done on it after more than four hours. There are various other options for car care in LaGrange, and I would suggest exploring those options instead.

Wonderful experience. Honest & fast. They could have easily sold me new tires but told me the tread was still good on my current tires and repaired my leaky tire all for free! I couldn’t believe it. Highly recommend.

So I bought my loose tire in for repair and was told it would be done before closing. Because of a manpower shortage it was delayed until the next day which was fine however no one was going to inform me of this change. I called about the tire the following day and was told the TPMS sensor had been damaged when the tire was removed from the rim and I needed to provide car details so it could be replaced. I got a call back saying my tire has been repaired. I paid $45 for the plugged tire which I thought was pretty high but when I reviewed the invoice it showed I had paid for the replacement sensor and the labor to install it! I'm not sure why I had to pay for a sensor when it seemed to be caused by a tech in a hurry as it typically doesn't happen. That's what I heard when I asked about the damaged sensor in the shop. I don't think I'll be going back to this shop again.

I brought in a small mower tire on the off chance they could fix it. The gentleman at the front desk (Bob, I think his name is) took it back immediately, re-seated the bead, checked for leaks, and added sealer where it was needed. I was back in the car headed home within 5 min.
I'll definitely be back for service like that.
