Went in to get a ring resized. The display cabinets were empty, there was a dog in the shop, the Walking Dead was playing on TV loudly, and the man behind the table was playing a computer game. He barely looked up at us when we came in. Very unfriendly, no smiling the whole time. He simply took the ring that I had wanted to get resized without a word, then brought a bunch of rings over for me to find my size. Instead of giving the sizer to me, he gruffly told me to hold out my hand while he selected the rings and put them on my finger. When I tried to do it myself, he responded shortly to just hold still.Finally, he priced my 10K gold ring with a cubic zirconia at $119 to resize (down), and said it would take him four days to do it. The ring is not even worth that much, not to mention that he didn’t appear to be busy whatsoever playing a computer game at work. Definitely will not be coming back, and felt like others should know what kind of experience this shop offers.

Awesome service. Dropped a necklace off at like 4 to be repaired and had it back at 10 the next morning.

Found The Diamond Mine shortly after relocating from the city and wanting to set up using local merchants vs. drive back in. Discovered a lost ring in our packing and moving and took in for proper sizing. Great work, turnaround time and value. Also taken a few watches in for his opinion, most others didn't want to look at or work with. He's taken care of each perfectly and I still have a few more to take in. Strongest recommendation possible if you are looking for a local guy!

Seriously SOOOOO thankful for the Diamond Mine! I lost a stone from my ring, as well as the fact that I had to have it cut off years ago. It was repaired and the stone the replaced! The service was not only AMAZING, it was incredibly affordable!When I picked up my ring it was cleaner and sparkled better than it did the day I got it!I will definitely return here for my future needs!

I’ve been in several times and there is rarely any good jewelry in the cases. I bought an opal bracelet that is really beautiful and was pleased with it until I found out the opals were man made. The owner neglected to tell me this while I was gushing on about how beautiful the stones were. A reputable jeweler would have told me they were fake opals.

This guy is a true gem, no pun intended. Anytime I stop by regardless if it is a broken chain, missing diamond, or just to check out inventory he is inviting and always friendly. I don't go anywhere else with my jewelry. Truly a solid guy and great business to trust with either repairs or that next rock for the wifey!!!

The owner was very helpful in assisting me with understanding my bullion collection and gave great advice and a great deal on the spot for some items. Super friendly. I believe he does a little bit of everything. From jewelry and watch repair, to selling some nice jewelry pieces and really cool to talk to if you need to know anything. I'll be back again.

I called this business to inquire about sizing a ring. He was very rude and his exact words when I asked a simple question was..."I don't have a magic wand". I have not, and most certainly will not, use his services. There is no excuse for rudeness...especially when you are running a business. I guess he didn't get the memo that Oldham County is suppose to be the "Kind Capitol". Being courteous is not that difficult.
